they could combine the redstone properties by making a little switch on every world and it would be called the quasi connectivity switch. If it was on it would be java redstone if it was off it would be bedrock redstone. In java it would automaticly be on. In bedrock it would be automaticly be off.
My only gripe is that they changed how a single Redstone on the ground isn't a drop of blood anymore.

I don't think they will, Bud powering; the biggest difference, was a bug that was loved so much they had to keep it. Unless the two become cross-platform I believe the redstone will be forever different

Me reacting to the new Redstone Dust hitboxes and especially the single Dust:

Seriously, I absolutely *HATE* that! The hitboxes don't look right, it's the same issue with the Lectern's hitbox - *just NO.*
As for the rest of the Redstone changes, they seem good, they all make sense to me.
So, the only problem with those changes are the redstone hitboxes?
Still, the single dust can be changed back into a dot. Just use a debug stick or the command /fill ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ minecraft:redstone_wire[] outline.
@fallOut015 it would look much better if it just stopped either at the 1 Block-height, or at the top edge, aka either having a part you click right through to the block behind, or a part you can't click through. This would make it more boxy, and more in line with the style of the game.

The redstone changes will most likely make compact machines more difficult to make since the redstone will power everything that is near it. It could be a good thing too, using the examples that the Elite gamer said

Benefit? This changes not a single thing. In fact it ruins so many designs for horror builds. Good thing custom textures are getting more common in maps. But for survival minecraft (which you play with default textures) this ruins pretty much anything that uses redstone. Also I believe some contraptions won’t work anymore. While the changes are minor I already know of a few status indicator designs that won’t work anymore due to the red stone connecting to the lamps now. It’s just a matter of time until quasi connectivity and 1 tick pulses in pistons won’t be a thing anymore.

It accurately represents what the wire actually does when it's like that instead of a dot somehow powering the blocks around it. It's not like this is even that big of a change, it's how it looked in beta.

Why would they change the redstone appearance. The regular looking redstone looks great for decorating in horror maps. Now there crosses. Oh well

I am learning a lot about Minecraft from your vlogs. I play on Wii U still :( so somethings I can’t do until I get a computer. I was sad I couldn’t make an automatic wool farm, but I keep trying different things you do, and in the process I am learning red stone a little more. I love that I can move villagers by boat on land and can breed them, my game only had 2 villagers when it loaded, But I now have 20! Thanks for the videos, I spend hours a day watching, liking and saving them to review again later. I am even learning about enchantments, I had no clue before, only one I understood was silk touch, I usually ignored books and the enchantments on items. I got so excited last night when I caught a mending fishing pole! LOL.

I noticed that now the redstone "cross" can help us to know where north and west are. (Straight peaks to north and west, curves belong to east and south)

I am not joking, I am a redstoner myself, and, after testing for a while, this, as well as the target block redirecting, will make things much easier. Yes it breaks lots of things, but it also opens up new doors

The target block change is good but the side redstone change can break things, mojang is like gives something good and takes something 😔
The last thing Wattles showed with 3 pistons is completely fine and was like that in previous versions. Those fixes are really good and those were bugs nobody wanted and nobody expected and nobody knew, unlike BUD powering and quasi connectivity
But cross redstone change is bad
Yeah cross doesn't look good although it might help new minecrafters to understand redstone better, i think that's why they changed the texture

Looks like water changed too. I no longer get a single stream of water from a bucket. It instead creates a five block cross pattern. Maybe it's just me but it wasn't doing this yesterday.
When the target block comes out i will use it for a skeleton farm/shootingranch style

it would be cool if the target block could natively output a redstone signal in the strength based off of how close and arrow is to the center of the target. Could lead to some fun minigame builds.

I'm honestly disappointed that we cant use redstone dust for blood anymore. It really helped detail some creepier builds.

You asked for stuff I learned about rs changes elsewhere. I learned that mango isn't the happiest camper... the thing with pistons being powered when rs dust is curving in an l and up a glass block or slab he used a lot in his contraptions. easy way to make a piston powered when next to a dust tower. However, he is happy that the target block is a new way to do that, but not as well (not his words exactly but what I picked up from the vid). However, the target block has other cool uses. The thing you showed with the fence gate, that might break a few things but whatever not too much of a biggie. Nothing else has changed to my knowledge. However, there is an easy way to make a bullseye detector on a target block without extending 15 blocks in a direction. Power the target block with a comparator reading a full cake. Then there are 2 options. Option one is put a comparator reading the target block comparing a rs block next to it. It should only turn on when you get a bullseye. Option two is you either put rs dust or a comparator reading the target block. Detect that with an observer leading to a t-flop. The second might be more complex but should end up being cheaper redstone wise, unless you are weird and use the comparator. I am just excited that a wheat farm might be required now to make xomplex redstone contraptions as the target block is now very useful

Hey Wattles! Can you please make a bedrock survival guide series? That would be soooo awesome! Your Minecraft guide series is my fav one but some things don’t work for me, and some things behave in different ways than on bedrock. Also, for any farms on bedrock just go to ItsMe James or SilentWhisperer’s CZcams channel. They have farm tutorials that will at least show you how non spawns work and other bedrock mechanics. If you can, please make a bedrock Minecraft guide! Thanks!
