I think in general women need/tolerate/like more heat than men. That is the reason why you will see women complaining that it is cold in the house when men don't think so. That is also why some women even during summer time use hot or warm water in the shower.
I like headwraps and it does not feel too hot when I put it on, and the fabrics I usually use are really light, allowing the fresh air to circulate.
It depends on the material I think, linen or cotton head wraps are really light and breathable! all depends on the fabric your using

I did my best to wrap my bun like yours, it's my third time going to sleep with my hair wrapped (and I'm obsessed - my hair is mega fucking long and straight and would make me sweaty and then get tangly and gross and sweaty when I slept. Ew. I was about to cut it drastically and then I remembered that lots of women wrap their hair and maybe I could do it too! And it's amazinggg) and mine doesn't look as svelte as yours but I also don't think it looks bad! It's a work in progress! So thank you for the quick visual tutorial!
