I pretty much never endorse cheating, but fuck me if everyone but the father sounds awful in that family, I can only imagine how miserable his life would've been while he was still married.
Girl run. He was manipulating you into thinking he’s incapable so you’d step in and play savior that way he can use you to invest in his future. He doesn’t love you he just wanted you to fund his business. Trust me if you helped him, once the business took off he’d leave you for someone else he can impress with his accomplishment that you helped bring into reality. This is why I don’t freaking play savior to men.
