Microbiology: Giardia duodenalis

This video reviews the cyst form of parasitic protozoa Giardia duodenalis on a trichrome stained smear and iodine wet prep. The wet preparation was made from a specimen that had the fecal concentration technique. Discussed are the structures, life-cycle, and pathogenesis of the organism.
