C64 and Amiga was out when I was a Teen, had both and the games were incredible for both. When I bought my first PC (486 sx) I was disappointed by the graphics and the fact I had no sound. I had to add a card. I still think the the C64 and Amiga were far better for sound/Graphics and game content.
Commodore 64: "Hello, and welcome to TURRICAN! Be my guest! Another game, another crime! But remember: SHOOT OR DIE! HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAAA!" Amiga: "Welcome to TURRICAN! HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH!" I loved playing both TURRICAN I and II on my Amiga 500 as a kid back in the early 1990's. They were absolutely two of the best classic games ever 😺👍🕹️. The Commodore 64 version of TURRICAN is also brilliant 😺👍🕹️. A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.

Amiga masterrace here, I only learned recently that there was a c64 version of Turrican. It looks more playable than the Amiga version.
