  • If you’re going to be doing any sort of calculation for your car and its suspension, you will most likely have to know the location the center of gravity or CG for short. In this video I will show you a conceise way of how you can figure out the CG location of any car for yourself, I will demonstrate what measurements you’ll have to do and also the equations you’ll have to solve.
I’ll show you the process for determining the location of the CG in the longitudinal direction or x as well as the vertical z direction. The process for the sideways or y direction is the same as for the x, but for most applications if you’re not doing anything super precise it’s completely fine just to say that the y coordinate is in the middle of the car.

Nice to see it explained on video because I was curious how the procedure goes in the reality 👍
P.S. (for all who won't understand - it's in language of both of us): Vidim, da smo bili na istem meetu v Bovcu 😁

    Great video!
I'm guessing I'd need an american scale that can handle more weight than a european to measure cars? /s

Super video. Tudi meni je teorija o podvozju zanimiva. Od hp academy suspension course lepo razlozi te koncepte. Nisem pa še v praksi izvajal meritev. Naslednje leto planiram par nujnih izboljsav..definitivno trše vzmeti.

I find it funny how you start playing battle nusic when you get to the math portion. I hate math, im so horrible at math and it confuses me so much. None of that looks simple at all.

Yoooo, a new vid! Will edit this comment l8r
Edit: I assume for Y axis Center of Gravity, you do what you did with the Z axis, expect you tilt the car on it's side?
