Great video ,and very helpful "do it yourself info". Will tackle my 130K klms, 2015 NP300 with better confidence after your video. Thanks so much I've paid $4000 for injectors, $1500 for ERG pipe it turned out to be the ERG valve and not one of the nitwit aussie mechanics picked it - you video is excellent

What were the symptoms? Injectors noisy?
I was wrong wasn't the ERG it was the metering valve ended up trading it in as is - the symptoms where a ferocious knocking like the engine was going to explode - did that for a bit, i.e. - when driving if you lugged the engine in higher gears it didn't happen so much - until turned off because it was frightening - also at times just would not fire kept turning g over with no ignitioyou are.n - then when left fro a few days it was like new ran perfectly - I suspect a couple of mechanics knew what it was and kept milking out - the shame is one was a premier5 Nissan deaslershisop - also sincere apologies to Aussie mechanics - one u8tube mechanic actually made a video about the importance of metering valves - so there @@Tonksyyy_

I'd just put on an EGR blanking plate on. And be done with it. The engine will thank you too. No more crap being recirculated back into the engine ;)

Just trouble shooting my throttle body.
Removed the pipe from the intercooler
To inspect and clean.
Discovered that the plate is stuck in the open position.
Any thoughts.
Hi! Unlike gas engines, diesel throttle bodies are normally open as default. They’ll only close upon shutting the engine down. You may confirm it’s operation by idling the engine with the hose/pipe of to observe the throttle body butterfly then turning the engine off (butterfly should shut close, then open). Just make sure you have scantool ready to clear any fault codes or check engine light afterwards as the ECU may get a low boost reading and throw a CEL

Great video followed and worked great for about 3 days then went back to running like shit and heavy black smoke, Will pull it out again and clean it better. I would add also to have something under the EGR Valve when pulling the 2 coolant lines off as I did not and got coolant on my belt and squealed terribly for a week. I'm thinking of putting a blanking plate on but cannot find one here in Mexico. Anyone know if I take sheet Aluminum or Stainless steel and use the gasket as a template will this work?, obviously not cutting out the centre part.

If disconnect agr valve will the motor controll light be on?
Make sure it’s connected before starting the car. If you leave it disconnected it might throw a check engine light

boss, can i use a WD40 for cleaning te EGR valve?
WD40 is a lubricant, better to use petrol or carb cleaner for it. Just keep the EGR/sensor upright to avoid liquids seeping in and damaging the sensor

Hmm mine are 12mm and not 10mm
Its all on point but the bolts are not 10mm they are 12mm

The 12mm on mine are very tight and broken my spanar, starts torn the shape of the bolt head, I stop the process😢😢

Absolutely. No special tools needed except for the torx star socket to remove the studs
