Recently discovered your channel and catching up. Love your commentary and insight in to these cinematics. My favorite Overwatch character, in terms of character building and design is Kiriko. I hope you get around to watching the Kiriko cinematic one day, because in my opinion it is one of the best Blizzard have ever made. Fantastic balance of comedy, horror, action, and Pixar style light-heartedness. Also amazing sound, music, and lighting.
I love how she knew he was coming. She bought him that coffee before she got home. Super nice touch in the visual story telling and very true to Canadian coffee culture as well.
Also the best way to understand where Overwatch stands at this point is to look at Cpt. America: Civil War. It's essentially the exact same story beats with the UN act to disband the Avengers and Cap/Tony being on opposite sides of what to do next with that. In the Overwatch context, Sojourn here is Tony Stark and Captain America would be Soldier 76
I feel you should do the same with Overwatch as you've done with Warcraft. There's isn't a mountain of cutscenes to watch like Warcraft but you'll still feel a better story throughline watching them chronologically. All the original shorts are meant to introduce you to the original playable characters as a way until they get there eventual Avengers moment when re-grouping.
Bonus: This character was shown to you in the pictures Winston had during Zero Hour cinematic you reacted too.
I think the agent giving murphy the croissant even tho sojourn said no earlier was foreshadowing that he wasn't going to arrest her. Going against what was the 'right' thing. I also love when the agent is talking about why he joined csis and was inspired by sojourn but just out of focus is the handcuffs on his waist and it's prominently in the frame, foreshadowing his possible intent. Very cool stuff.
Canadian here. CSIS is actually our security agency, so it is fun to see them in this. Actually a lot of canadian stuff in this. The red paper cup of coffee is tim hortons in all but name, the overly colourful money, it's a lot of fun
Blizzard's OW team that makes these shorts has INCREDIBLE attention to detail, one of my favorite examples is in the Kiriko short: the sign language in it isn't American Sign Language, it's Japanese Sign Language.
I know u reacted to a few OW cinematics before but I would usually recommend to go through them in chronological order, that way its easier to understand whats going on
And then just stop at the Overwatch 2 announce cinematic because after that it's just meh, like the game :P Definitely did NOT need a sequel.

this is a post-war against the omnics. those are absolutely replacements, not merely enhancements.
You REALLY need to do a run of the overwatch shorts, IN ORDER OF RELEASE, as it's basically almost all of the lore we actually have, but it paints a pretty stark story of the NOW that the game is only really finally getting to.

If you want visually nice cinematic, warframe openin cibematic is very well done
One thing OW can do is Short films, games too. Keeping games not so much
