I love Alamat, their talents, creativity and their mission to introduce Filipino culture to the world stage and to the new generation. Also, I'm a new subscriber coz I appreciate reactors who give importance to culture. 🥰☺
Trivia: the “Pasulong” album cover art is so interesting and beautifully designed. It has the 2 forward triangles in the center which resembles the ⏩ forward button. “Pasulong” literally means “forward” in Tagalog. the art cover if you look closely (ya gotta find a high resolution art online), it has tribal patterns and lots of filipino symbols/pictograms around it such as the tarsier, arnis, star lantern, eagle, mount mayon volcano, butanding, abaniko, mango, barasoain church, etc. and i just noticed these now, the 4 symbols/pictograms on the right most side are: - vinta boat - jeepney - sorbetero wheeled cart - kalesa (horse-drawn carriage) they are all facing forward to the right direction just like where the forward button faces. I think the design is intentional. and if it is, that’s a very smart design. i absolutely love the hidden details! 🇵🇭💙❤️
Also, the Filipino pictograms are inside those shapes that resemble the shape of the Coat of Arms of the Philippines! Wow! Haha i found another tiny detail. I really love the Pasulong album art! 🤍👍
thanks so much for this wonderful video, i enjoyed it very much! really proud of alamat and their edutainment form of artistry. i don't know if you already know this, but if you're interested to learn more about the concepts, cultures, and histories that alamat incorporate in their songs and videos, you might want to check out the videos from a Filipino historian, Kirby Araullo on your own time. ☺ thanks again, and have a great day!
