As a white guy, I deliver a lot in the south and many of my customers are predominantly black businesses. I notice that when I first started delivering to them they were very stand-off ish. But after a couple trips and they saw I was respectful to them they really opened up and became friendly. For months I would often wonder what that was about. Then I realized that maybe some of the white folks they used to deal with were rude or racist.

I'm just telling you my experience delivering to the deep south. Up here in the north it's a different environment when whites and blacks work together in most cases.
