That scream right before the outro on See America Right was FUCKING INSANE and a perfect cherry on top of what is possibly a near-perfect concert. John was absolutely POSSESSED this whole time (and Jon and Peter were absolutely killing it too, especially on Tetrapod and Palmcorder) and I was absolutely living for this unhinged set. Best concert I didn’t have the privilege of attending live, hands down
This version of Dance Music is my everything
it's the bass for me
That performance of Autoclave is just stunning...

Long. Live. The. Mountain. Goats.
When I saw mountain goats live (in Milwaukee, WI) he did a sweet cover of Every Day is Like Sunday
“Think of all the good you could do with millions of dollars!…I think in more of terms of, you know, you could make a big sort of Wonderland for farm animals…that they could run freely upon. And also you could have a ferris wheel”
this version of wild sage is amazing
omg I know, what a show, Palmcorder Yajna was sick too, not that he ever disappoints live
one of the most fun lovecrafts ive ever seen. and that wild sage. yeah
Fuck me, dude. Michael Myers Resplendent is perfection. This set is perfect right out the gate.
"This next song is really old."
*crowd goes "YEAH"*
"You say 'Yeah', but there were a lot of old songs that were bad."
"GOLDEN BOY!"
"No, not that one."
I love these guys. Am seeing them live for the first time in London in October, cant wait!!
John we are fully blazed at all times
John Darnielle is the best man on earth
41:44 his laugh when he sees the next song is magnificent
thank you for posting these
Amazing show.
This is a very special setlist. A lot of songs I haven't seen him play in years.
everyone in the comments shouting out various versions of songs, i see u, this is by far the best i've ever heard Tetrapod
definitive palmcorder yajna
Is it pretty typical at a mountain goats show that the crowd stays quiet, rather than all singing super loud and out of key? I've been listening to them for more than half of my life, and I've never made it to see them unfortunately.
f u w3ar32rf it’s pretty typical of ANY show you go to having the crowd singing loudly
its also recorded for radio so aside from the drum mics there prob isnt many mics set up to take the sound of the room
I'm so cool.
niceeee
All the neighbours come out to their front porches WAVING TORCHES
53:30 rock star john is the most badass thing i've ever seen
The snippet of Ambient 2 at the very beginning is kind of hilarious
Does anyone know what the song is at the beginning, as the MGs are coming on stage? Love it.
Dancing Days by Led Zeppelin
@@klick06 I feel so old now.
😎😍
Palmcorder Yajna and its introduction is the best!
@Christopher Bingham for anyone watching this years later, John pronounces it "YAHJ-nuh," first syllable rhyming with "blah."
