I think the design world needs to start differentiating between "product design" and "industrial design." Product design being on the UX front and industrial design focusing on products. Just my thoughts as everyone seems to merge the two disciplines with interchangeable names.
True, its hard to find the actual industrial design in the jobs website
Product design was originally used interchangeably with Industrial Design as its designing products ,but started getting used by UI and UX design , it would probably be better if Ui & UX design was called Digital Product Design and the others Product & Industrial Design.

just found this channel and loving it. I also just made the switch from inventor to fusion360 so it was neat to see that is what you are using. took a minute for me to get used to the assembly environment in it but now I find it so much more useful. Have to now check out your other videos!

I want to be just like you. I am just like you. When young I wanted to be an inventor. I was told it wasn’t studied in school. Now I’m going back to learn invention and product design seems to be the closest to inventing. Can you make a rocket. Can you product design a car

Hello my name is Brian and I have a few product ideas I would love to eventually create someday and I have a voice recording I can email you explaining my product ideas but I will include a link down below some of my ideas in case you rather look at my list and not hear my voice recording which is about 53 minutes or so and basically I’m looking for someone to help me with designing the product and coming up with a product name and packaging and possibly getting my products to people out there in the world but I would like to possibly do a Prototype or sample to get people to give me their opinion so we can determine what to do and what not do on what they like and what they don’t like and basically we don’t have to technically do a prototype and we can just hope people buy my items in stores around the world but a prototype give me a better idea of what people like about my product and what people don’t like about my product before we move forward in the process of making my product and basically I don’t think I should have to pay since it’s just a prototype we are making and not the final actual product But realistically I would like to pay under $100 to get good quality service at somewhat of an affordable price but realistically I know no one can do that under $100 so I don’t mind paying a high price as long as it is 100% good quality service at somewhat of an affordable price because I wouldn’t want to pay a high price if the service is not 100% good quality service so Basically my dad would probably be the one paying since I don’t have the money currently myself so you can contact my dad at jeff@hireclout.com or call him at 310-613-2271 and explain to him what you are thinking of doing to help me and how you would help me and what the price of your service would cost so if you can help me I would gladly appreciate it otherwise if you don’t think you’re capable of helping me then please forward my request to someone who can help me if you don’t think you are capable of helping me but hopefully you can help me create my products also I’m available any day and anytime for a zoom phone call meeting to discuss my product ideas in further detail But I rather do an in-person meeting at your office or headquarters with me and my dad to discuss my products and designs in further detail and I don’t mind flying out to meet you if you necessarily need so please let me know what best works for you so we can move forward in possibly making my product

List of some of my product ideas:
1.basically this product would be a spray for adults or kids who don’t like eating fruits and vegetables basically it would come in flavors like chocolate or vanilla or cookies and cream and basically you would spray the food you don’t like and it would take all the flavor Of the spray So basically if kids don’t like eating vegetables you would spray the vegetable with the spray and it will taste like you would be eating chocolate even though you’re eating a vegetable and it will get people to eat more vegetable and fruit they don’t like
2.basically last year I cut part of my finger off using a rotary cutter and I don’t wanna make that mistake again so I came up with an idea for a paper cutter but instead of cutting paper it will cut fabric so you can eliminate the need for purchasing a rotary cutter and cutting mat and ruler it will all be built in one for people who do quilting and sewing but it will be like a paper cutter just for quilters and sewers
3.I struggle with cutting fabric accurately So I came up with an idea for a big machine that you can program what you need cut and it will cut your fabric accurately for you and label all the pieces accurately cut also it will be a machine that will also be able to help wind a ball of yarn for you so you don’t have to worry about doing it yourself all you do is insert the material into the machine and tell the machine what to do and the machine will do the rest for you so you won’t have to worry about doing it yourself
4.growing up school lunches weren’t the healthiest and there never was a healthy option at school So I came up with an idea for a company possibly called lunchcrafter Where we would create healthy meals And send them all around the world two different schools around the world so they can eat healthy basically we would create a menu each week of what we would want the schools to eat for example maybe Monday would be a healthy veggie burger and Tuesday would be a healthy taco salad and so forth and so on and we will package the meal and deliver them to the school around the world also we would have a website where you can create your own meal and have them delivered straight to your home or you can choose one of the meal that we would deliver to your school you can choose online and instead of picking it up in the cafeteria you would pick it up at your house also if you go on our website and type in a school you go to you can see a list of the food healthy food items we created for the week
5.My dad came up with the product idea basically it would be a spray or gum or Listerine strips and he was thinking of calling it rescue because if you eat something spicy all you do is just spray the spray in your mouth and it will eliminate the spiciness instantly or you would choose the gum or use the Listerine strip and it would get rid of the spiciness right away in a flash
6.Basically I came up with an idea for a summer camp where you would create your own superhero name and create your own superhero costume and create your own superhero power and do activities and challenges and maybe get a certificate at the end of camp for graduating superhero camp
7.basically growing up I was never The skinniest person and a little overweight so basically I came up with a idea for a big Machine basically you would go in to the machine and it would Scan your whole body and then print out on the side of the machine sort of like a receipt and basically it would tell you on the papaer the was print it out from the side of the machine it would tell you things right how much weight you should lose and what is the proper weight you should be at and what foods you should be eating and what foods you should avoid not eating anymore and what exercises you should do and what exercises you should avoid not doing anymore and how much calories you should be eating in a day So basically if you struggle with knowing where to start in losing weight this machine will tell you everything you need to know printed on a piece of paper so you can get a better baseline of where to start in your weight loss journey
8.basically my mom came up with a product for having sex which would basically be kind of like a dildo with three ends on it and she was thinking of calling it the throupalator
9. Basically my other idea is coffee ice cubes that come in different coffee flavors and basically you just pour milk over the coffee and mix it with the ice cubes and it makes ice coffee instantly or you can do it with hot milk and it makes hot coffee instantly when you mix the ice cubes with the milk together
10.basically A lot of the phone charges I have end up getting getting frayed at the end and don’t seem to be working anymore I don’t ever currently find a charger that doesn’t break on me or fall apart at the tip of the charger and fray easily so that’s why if there was a product where it was a phone charger for iPhone or android or iPhone where is the long enough cord that won’t get tangled and that won’t fray at the tip of the charger that would help me so I can keep the charger longer a not have to keep on replacing it when it gets frayed so much
11.basically I have always wanted a tattoo but I’ve always been afraid of needles and the pain tattoos may cause so I came up with an idea
Basically it would be a machine where you simply program the tattoo design you want and you get in the machine and the machine would probably zap the tattoo on you and I mean the job would be a little painful but not as painful as a regular tattoo would be and it would get the tattoo done right away in a flash rather than having to wait six hours for a custom tattoo

What you are going to read next may not be what you want, but I believe is what you, and the world, need: you live in a bubble. And it's not your fault. Your job, in fact your whole lifestyle, it is only possible because there are people in third world countries working to make such disposable products at such low costs. It is very irresponsible to design (and buy) products with such a short life span and that do not have any real value or function to its consumers. Which in the end of its life cycle will end up polluting the ocean. Think about that. Be responsible. Design concious.
