Super Substratospheric Altitude Gun (Gundam Dynames)

- A top-secret beam weapon of the Celestial Being, this huge gun has a massive range, capable of sniping targets in satellite orbit from the ground. The weapon sourced its GN Particles from an external large GN Condenser that in turn receives its particle supply from the maintenance container. As the gun requires more than 20 seconds to charge each shot, it cannot be rapid-fired.To suppress the recoil when firing, the Dynames is fitted with a Tail Unit from the GN-003 Gundam Kyrios on its rear waist unit. The Dynames is in Sniper Mode when using this gun, and the weapon's scope is directly connected to the head-mounted Gun Camera. This weapon is difficult to control, and similar to the GN Sniper Rifle, its use is possible thanks to Lockon's excellent sniping skills.
Lockon: So why aren’t we using this thing again?
Sumeragi: We left the battery on Earth.
Probably no point in it either. Considering that it has to charge for each shot, it is poorly suited for anything except stable targets (which is Virtue's specialty) and more or less makes the Gundam a sitting duck.

@@machdude3366 They could use it to snipe the 2nd Memento Mori. It's a big fucking target! And considering how the gun can deliver such a large amount of particles from earth to low orbit, it could easily decimate it or at least took down the A-Laws flagship that has its trigger. Just wire the gun with Ptolemaios particle capacitors and all set. But hey, there would be no fun if the gargantuan platform can be decimated without a suicidal charge for the drama.
It got blown up by the Al-laws IIRC after the Gundams got defeated at end of the first season.
@@hawk5394 the Hi-V gundam has it giant gun mounted on a ship yet it was a good add-on that helps it cut axis.
It's a shame Sergei never got to meet the rest of Celestial being besides Allelujah; I imagine he would have wanted to thank Lockon for his help during this fiasco.
One of my favorite moments. Really showed off the ingenuity and power of Celestial Being’s production.
This is quite possibly their most terrifying weapon aside from Gundams themselves
True. It's not just about how powerful that weapon is. It's also about its ultra-range and ultra-precision that makes it such a nuisance for any tactical forecaster.
There's no definitive way to deduct all possible snipping point, and a snipper that can't be neutralized in time is just downright death sentence.

They should have brought it back in season 2 to destroy the Memento Mori.
@@traikentercept144 that would be cool if it didn’t have complications. 1. The sniper has a 20 sec charge time after every shot so you’ll be a sitting duck. 2. The memento mori seems to be well armored so a single shot might not be enough. 3. If ESF learned their lesson fighting with CB, they wouldn’t fall for the same trick twice. 4. Because Lyle doesn’t have the same precision skills as his brother Niel, he probably wouldn’t be able to hit his shot precisely.

Cons being:
-less range
-less precision
-it's basically just an Kamehameha they call sword

Too bad we never saw that gun used again. Would have helped a couple of times during the second season. Can you imagine used during Memento Mori or even during the bit were debris was falling on the planet from said Memento Mori.
well it takes time to set up i think and they dont really have to time and place to set up
yeah its takes time to set those up, he even use kyrios Bombardment pod as a balance platform to hold his back frame,

@@Xis2003 from what i observe it doesn't have enough power to penetrate the thick layer of the satelite cannon plus they have to specifically destroy its resonator in order to fully obliterate the whole thing, and they cannot continously fired it as it takes time to compress the particle emmission
I doubt it could be used by Cherudim, if you look at how it's connected to Dynames, on top of what others have mentioned about it taking time to set up. I do kinda wish they like set it up on the side of the Ptolomios though...

変形させるには足を一回取り外しパーツを交換し付け直すっていう面倒くさいのを採用してるんだよなぁ

The best kind of transformation is the most effective kind. Like, the Zeta is cool but there are too many moving parts. Kyrios' transformation is both cool and seamlessly smooth
GN Fields carry an electromagnetic field and are used to move the Gundam's joints. The joints are basically magnetically held in place and there is almost no friction because there's barely any contact. GN Fields work similarly to I-Fields created by Minovsky Particles back in UC, so much so that in Turn A, it has developed the technology into the I-Field Beam Drive system where the entire suit is held in place my an I-Field and has joints that is completely frictionless. This is why GN Gundams and Turn A have very similar smooth sounding joint sound effects.

When you calulate how much enegry does it take to move clouds sh#t gets crazy because it can reach into the megaton ranges of enegry depending of the type of cloud and how big is it.

Yeah. IBO's team dared to finally break away from the formula. Unfortunately, the Gundams found themselves on the wrong side of the field when shots were fired, and their plot armors were also gone with the formula.

This thing was so awesome. I like to think that the reason they couldn't use it more was because of cloud cover...here, Setsuna was able to be there to do his thing but I don't think you could deploy this in a timely manner and spare an extra gundam to remove the cloud cover. I don't know
The weapon may be powerful and a massive nuisance like any sniper but it does have weaknesses.
1. Neil doesn’t have the same precision as his brother
2. The weapon is a sitting duck without cover
3. The long charge time is not great for agile targets.
4. By season two, they couldn’t even stay on the ground long enough without getting attacked

It's more like it's not very practical because it takes up alot of power/GN particles.
They did used it a few more times in the side stories until it was destroyed

It’s what you call a set piece or something similar to that. The scene wouldn’t be so memorable if every scene in the entire production is a set piece.

Gundam Dynames is so cool, that it got me into putting in effort into painting my Gunpla. I wanted my original HG to look exactly how the art did because of how insanely cool it was lmao. Lockon is also such a cool dude🔥

Synames Repair is my favorite Gundam. That thing was just so damn cool. The GM Sniper K9 is a close competitor.

While I love 00 Gundam the most of all the series my one issue is they often introduced things just for the sake of one episode or plot reasons and then forget it exists entirely. We never see this sniper add on for Dynames ever again at least to my memory.

@@siriusdeluna3076 At normal operating rate GN Drives are effectively eternal engines when used as a power source for mobile suits. Using Trans-Am causes temporary performance decrease because they run out of power reserves and require time for GN Drives to return to normal power output.
only the GN drive tau has limited power supply
That is why the real GN Drives have been passed down / protected from many generations of Gundams made by CB, since making just one new reactor takes alot of time and effort..... Compared to the Tau Drives which are much limited in terms of operation but are easier to reproduce

It was Fon Spark in Gundam Sasaluud underwater give him the coordinates of the weak spot...
In Manga most of the mission in the animes were help by their own celestial being members that even they didn't know who help them secretly, well Fon Spark is a wanted Criminals with a neck brace strap bomb with him, after finish his mission he have to wear metal gauntlet cuff because he is the most dangerous person than Setsuna or Ali All Sanchez and also crazy mad man 😂😂😂...

I always wondering why the gn bits are sticking out on cherudim. So it works as a back support for cherudim n it can be seen used when they rescued allelujah. And they learnt it from this event where dynames had to use kyrios missile pod for back support

I do think that in Gundam where most of the Eng Dub are questionable, 00 and G Gundam had the better quality eng dubs overall

Better question is why did they need to split that apart? There’s no friction in space so kyrios could have just kept accelerating the whole thing, the weight and size of it would be irrelevant once the inertia was overcame
