- Watch the giant spider of Liverpool arrive at the city hall, wake up after a sleep and, in dramatically speeded up footage, crawl up a building to rest. La Princesse, a mechanical spider, was created by a French company, La Machine, as part of the Liverpool European Capital of culture programme.

Thanks! It was quite something to see. Have you looked at the Royal de Luxe and La Machine sites? La Machine created the spider and also a giant elephant which came to London. I saw the elephant in calais - you can see it if you have a look at my other videos. What's the Exchange Flags spider? I don't live in Nottingham but will have a look when I'm next in Liverpool
