    Great message at the end. I watched because of the leveling system but found a great blessing at the end. As a former atheist, been saved since 2006. People are concerned about the current times and all the disfunction. I was asked about this by a client last week. My response was, Jesus knew all this was coming as has turmoil since He walked the earth. At that time and this current time, His commission is the same, advance the gospel. That is the only answer to the world today as it has been for 2,000 years. This life isn’t the last chapter for us as humans, so advance the gospel and help as many as you can come to know the immense life changing ability of Jesus. You’re doing that through your platform and I thank you as a brother in Jesus. Be blessed in His name!

    Earthworks worth every penny and then some it is a no brainer in my book I think ours was about 20G on top of the 160 I don’t think I would buy another machine with out it. Wow what a “coincidence”. I have had a battle in my brain for the past year. Over my own life been a believer for most of my adult life being in business with all its challenges, now I find my self stepping into the last years of my life my son and partner taking on the business tasks I no longer want to do. And here I find some guy in Tennessee sit-in on an excavator puts it all into the perspective telling me what I need to hear in a real simple way in all of two or three minutes WOW. God is so cool and he does neat stuff thank u Brother

    I really enjoy watching your videos. I thought that with Trimble installed, it was sort of a set it, and forget it. Do you still have to manually control the depth that you are digging, according to the beeping? Or does it automatically not let your bucket go any deeper than what is programmed into the computer? Or is that a different option that is available? I thought I saw it on another channel where he set t he slope, and all he was doing was basically moving the bucket back and fourth, and the machine controlled the cut. Super cool system, but definitely not cheap!

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks Jeff, I appreciate that! The 304 doesn’t have automatics. From what I’ve been told the smaller machines don’t have that option at the moment. So, Trimble shows you what grade to dig on.
      The 313 is different though. It does have automatics and it will dig on grade just by pulling back on the left stick. The computer will adjust the boom and bucket angle. It’s definitely a cool system and a bit pricey too…

    i'm pursuing my dream of owning my own excavating company. it's not going very well at all. i have no work and i keep getting undercut because i have to rent machines which a lot of small jobs should be priced at what the rental fee is. i would like to know how you got started and were able to acquire so many nice machines. maybe some pointers on how to move forward and get jobs and start earning.

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Před rokem +1

      Getting started is the hardest part. I, like a lot of others, started part time. I was farming full time and started using the farm skid steer (259D) to do small clearing jobs, brush cutting, driveway repair and small pads. I sold the farm and started excavation full time. With money from the farm sale I bought the 308 excavator. As work kept coming in and bigger jobs came available I bought more equipment. I also dabble in real estate and have invested earning from there into the excavation business as well.
      Renting is a tough way to get started because, like you said, rental costs eat up profits. Also, a crucial part of the business is to have other folks sending you business thet they don't want because it is to small or they don't have time for it.
      The main thing is doing really good work. That's what gets you repeat customers and word of mouth advertising.
      It is definitely not easy getting started but if you love dirt work it is worth the hard work.
      Good luck to you and God Bless...
