    Which sensor you wish to get from Aliexpress?🤔 Maybe two wishes come true...

    EDIT: I talked with few people about the sensors which use AAA / R3 / LR3 (same is with AA / R6) batteries and the sensor will not work if you are using rechargble batteries as they have different voltage - 1.2V, when not rechargable batteries have 1,5V and these sensors require 1.5V. It's even written in aution description of the sensors.
    Old message: Guys, don't buy this sensor... it's really bad. Batteries are dead after few days, keep losing connection. 😵‍💫

A gdzie ten czujnik chcesz mieć? Jeśli w pomieszczeniu to możesz jeszcze znaleźć taki co ma ekranik LCD z akumulatorkiem do ładowania. Jeśli miałbyś problem ze znalezieniem takiego to daj znać.

      A planujesz jakieś inne rzeczy typu czujniki otwarcia drzwi, okna? Czujniki ruchu do zapalenia światła itp? Super sprawa, polecam.

      I don't agree with you, im using 4 generic Tuya zigbee temperature and humidity sensors which works on AAA batteries and they work for 1,5 years without any problems (on same batteries, didn't change them not even once) . So im saying that for me physical appearance is not deal breaker because i rather put two AAA batteries place the sensor in some corner and forget about it (on his physical location and appearance) rather than looking good sensor like Aqara (which is double or even triple the price) and changing the 1620 or 2032 coin cell battery way more often.

    I'm seeing a few posts about battery life. It is hard to build a power-efficient device when you're using WIFI as a transmission protocol. WIFI does not deal with power efficiency very well due to the nature of TCP / UDP signaling. There's a lot going on there that can chew through battery life. This is why Bluetooth LE and Zigbee exist and should be used when power is a concern.
    In short, if your temp/hum sensor does not run on battery power or has a very large battery then WIFI is ok, but if you're using AA or AAA batteries. It's best not to use WIFI.

    I have purchased two of these recently and I agree with your review it work pretty good, battery so far is good and no hub required. Now I need one to measure temperature of a liquid (just water). I want to use it to tell me the temperature of the water in my lake. It obviously needs to have a Dallas type probe. I just can’t find this type of device. Any recommendations? Thanks.

      Hi! Thanks for your comments. Sorry that it took a bit to answer your question but... I may have a nice solution. As I am a fan of zigbee devices I was thinking about taking a zigbee device for example aqara open close sensor put it to plastic sealed bag and then throw it to the lake. You may think how the heck open close sensor can give you temperature, but yes these sensors have also a temperature sensor. However for that you would need some other stuff like Home Assistant and zigbee gateway to get the sensor data. Standard application for aqara/xiaomi won't give you temperature data, you need Home Assistant. What do you think? 😅

    • @SmartTubeOfficial
      @SmartTubeOfficial  Před rokem

      Hi Martin, so it's just about automations, scenes, that you can create in the Tuya Smart application, but you need other smart devices to do that like relays, smart sockets or AC that is in Tuya Smart app. What system are you using? Tuya Smart or maybe Home Assistant? Here you have smart socket that works with Tuya Smart: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DkVk9ut but after turning it on by automation your cooling system needs to activate automatically if it's not in Tuya Smart. I'm using Home Assistant and in it, all devices talk with each other, so I have automations that if temperature is X degree the AC unit is turning on until the temperature drops to Y. So the request is direct from temperature device to AC unit not by turing the relay or smart socket.

      Hi, thanks for the question. It's a bit tricky with those sensors. You have so many wifi sensors that i would stick to what sellers states in the auction. If sensor is powered by tuya it doesnt mean we have the same one, even if they look the same😅 I dont know if you read my pinned comment but i do not recomment buying wifi sensors if you want reliable sensor. The one from yt was cheap, maybe more expensive has something to offer, the one i got is rubbish. If you dont have any gateway, i would buy a gateway to zigbee/ble devices and then i would build nice setup with multiple sensors that last years on battery with frequent updates on readings. You can find links in the video description to these products.

      It depence on the interval sending data. Mine is sett to 15min and perhaps its dead now after 1mnd. Standard is sending data every 60min and then the battery will perhaps hold 1 year. Remember its WIFI that sucks power. Belive its some kind of ESP8266 inside. Perhaps the Zigbee version keeps longer BUT than you need the Zigbee gateway ....

    • @SmartTubeOfficial

      If you do not have any smart home system I would buy a Mijia Gateway from Xiaomi (2nd gen or 3rd), smart plug from Mijia - you have Zigbee version and WiFi but , I would recommend Zigbee and be sure that it can handle the power of infra heater. And finally temperature sensor from Mijia or Aqara. To this simple setup you can easily build up other automations with lights, motions, smoke sensors etc. I put links to above products in video description.

      Thanks for the comment. There are so many different wifi tuya temperature sensors that it is really hard to get the one you want. I would focus on what people are saying in the comments and the description of the device. My device was saving temperature like I chosen in the settings in the Tuya Smart for Tuya Smart. If you are using Home Assistant like I, you are much more safer, as Home Assistant is saving all reading and as long as you chosen. Good look with old/new smart devices.
