Note: A Sword Breaker does not give anywhere near the leverage needed to snap a sword in half (or in any other non-whole fraction), let alone in the heat of combat.
Instead, it's called a Sword Breaker, based off an archaic version of the term "break," which simply meant to make useless. It catches and holds the blade, instead of snapping it.
Also, you would never use a sword breaker in warfare. Swords themselves are sidearms, and thus it's like marching in to WW2 trenches with armor designed against pistols. You also rely on formation to maintain combat effectiveness, not fancy sword play.
So to cap this off, when were sword breakers used? In duels and similar such sports.
There was clearly not enough research done for this video. Googling "Sword Breaker" gives the information you just summarized. Its that easy and apparently nobody did any research.
Yeah... im not reading that, Im just gonna agree
Also they had to stop using the active denial in system in Iraq because it wasn't as less than lethal as they thought. So people were being cooked.

I thought the âsword-breakerâ was just a disarming tool, swear it couldnât (or didnât) actually break swords, merely hook them allowing the user to pull hard and take the weapon away? Could be wrong.
Generally speaking you are correct. Some rapiers might break under extreme circumstances but that was rare. the other point is that these were civilian dueling weapons for use in your off hand when paired with a rapier rather than battlefield weapons.
chris blanchard cleared that up! Cheers man.
Another weird fact about the soviet dog bomb was that when the dogs actually went to look for food under a tank, they often looked under soviet tanks instead of the german tanks, killing all crew inside the soviet tanks

Hey @Infographics I've got a question.
How bad is the Corona Virus really and how do you think it will affect the world both during and after it's spread? How different will the world be after the Corona Virus is gone?
Thanks if you answer this question UwU

Meowzie the coronavirus is a cold. The cold is a coronavirus. The main reason everyone is scared of it is that they suddenly gave it a name. The only actual problem is the actual consequences of the fear, AKA Quarantines, Events being cancelled, jobs and school being put on hold. It is going to affect the economy a lot, because of the amount of people camping in their homes. The prices of different things such as hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and canned food will go up, as the demand for it is so high. Main thing I am going to tell you is donât worry about dying to it unless you are 60 years old
owo
It's not Ebola.
Coronavirus isnt taht bad, its only so popular because of the continuous ranting of the news
Correction. The puckle gun was used for naval warfare against pirates. Look up forgotten weapons on the puckle gun and he has a very informative video on it

Coronavirus: Iâm a weird weapon
Zaiden Dee agree
This is great and all but one problem, greeks didnât invent greek fire, the syrians did.
FALSE Incendiary and flaming weapons were used in warfare for centuries before Greek fire was invented. They included a number of sulfur-, petroleum-, and bitumen-based mixtures. Now the Persians might have had something with those. However, Greek fire was in a whole new super weapon kind of league and was invented by the Byzantine Empire which was the continuation of the Roman Empire in its eastern provinces during Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages.
I think the most important weapon of the future is love , it can disarm anyone whoâs got infected by it
The sword breaker has been proven just to catch and not break swords.
it could break a smaller thinner sword but a thicker sword would prolly not break.
At first I thought this was clickbait
When you have Middle Eastern parents, the weirdest weapon is the sandal đĄ. No joke. No matter how old you are.

Infographic, you said enemy?, So I'm your enemy?, So you have Islamophobia, Trump really did a great job of showing that they should be afraid of Islam, I did nothing wrong, Islam is a true religion, the scarf is to prevent woman's abuse, ok you guys should be afraid of Islam then if you guys find us dangerous, even you guys with 1 thousand man are afraid of a woman, keep thinking that because Islam is true religion, your religion is your religion, our religion is our religion, don't force any of us to leave Islam, because we are strong human than non-muslim, come to us with tons of man, we only need 1 of us to beat all of you, Allahuakbar.
Really? Isn't that a dangerous tool to use for kids?
the "swordbreaker" was actually used to disarm an opponent. the tongs aren't strong enough to break a well made sword.
if the sword was shaped something like a rapier than it would easily break, but a well made broadsword might be tough to break.

A sword breaker is not designed to break swords, only the attack. it might break a poor quality blade with a fault in it but that sword would break under normal use. You seem to forget that european swords are like springs.
All it allows you to do is "catch" the blade of the enemy so you can stab them with your own sword

That thumbnail is priceless.
The poison umbrella used in London wasn't a gun, it was a jabbing weapon that was stabbed into the victims ankle where the poison tip was designed to break off. In that way it wouldn't look suspicious in a crowd until some time after they were long gone, and we (to my knowledge) never worked out who did it, let alone caught them.
None of these are as scary as dad's belt after a hard day of work
The ice and wood pulp would be interesting to see.

The pykrete carrier wasnât scraped because the war ended the design was rejected due to several reasons mainly âcreepâ. The pykrete was strong but over time would deform wich was called creep so a ship would be impossible without replacing the pykrete constantly
greek fire is made of tree sap or crude oil and an oxidizer . .
infographics show: put yourself in their shoes
Me: ha. more like their boots
Well, the sword breakers didn't actually break the sword, but they locked them and could be used to disarm the opponent with a hooking effect.
Everyone is talking about their moms using slippers and hangers
Me: *Do you know that chair has another uses other than sitting on it?*
Sword breakers went actual used to break swords, they were used to break the opponents ability to use the sword. The teeth were designed to catch rapiers and like swords, so they were use in duels not on the battlefield.
Also if you want to see weird historical weapons three countries rain supreme, India, Africa, and Germany.
What software do you use to make the animations?
If you have to ask here, you probably can't handle it.
With the sword breaker there are no witnesses to it effectively catching and breaking a sword in Acturally combat. However it was good if you wanted to block then control your opinions sword.
The spy cat got ran over by a car on itâs first mission..
Oof
after the laser rifles are working they will try to make lethal versions once they be done armor would be made and they would not get the idea that a normal gun would be used
Correction: Greek Fire will stick to anything SOLID AND FLAMMABLE.
Second Correction: Soldiers don't carry tasers. They're illegal in warfare.
A sword breaker could only break a poorly made sword their main purpose was to catch the opponents sword(which is preferable as even a broken sword is still a threat) and hold it therefore rendering them disarmed as they could no longer use their weapon against you
Real weapons: ight imma head out
