He HAD IT with the Joker.
He had taken so much from him and his allies through the years. Eventually, everyone has a breaking point before they say “NO MORE.”
Batman was right. He should have killed The Joker long ago. He would have saved many lives just by taking one, because Joker will never stop being crazy and evil. Sometimes, you just have to put a rabid dog down.
Batman tried to kill the Joker three times prior to this event.
But Superman, the U.N. Scarecrow, and Superman again disallowed it.

It’s amazing how this 13-minute dub handled this scene so much better than the actual movie.
Issue is you can have inner monologues easily in comics, but it’s much more difficult to execute in animation

You perfectly nailed in making how painful Batman's life is because of what Joker has done to him. Warner Bros need to hire you as not only a voice actor but a voice director too. This is true talent here.
That means a lot! Thank you. I try to take my time interpreting the dialogue to get it as good as I can (but the story and music do the bulk of the work for me haha).
Of course, looking back I see things I could improve, but overall I'm glad about how it turned out.
And I'm glad people are enjoying it!

that would certainly have made the actual movie better. i haven't seen it but i saw the adapttion of this scene and this is far better. in the movie it felt like they just wanted to get it over with.

Every time he puts the Joker where he stays there and then he escapes and then we just sit around hoping it's just everything too bad then the Joker come into his house shoots his daughter scripture naked take pictures of her strip him naked and put them in a cage why would Jim Gordon save such a Monster who tortured him? That is what I mean by what is wrong with Jim Gordon.

I would like to point out that Batman normally takes it easy on Harley out of pity or because he doesn’t usually see her as a personal threat, but here he gut-kicked her across the alley into the side of a dumpster.

Like Batman said, he had made up his mind here. He was going to end the Joker’s life and he wasn’t going to let anyone stand in his way. Not Joker’s crazy girlfriend, not even his own hot girlfriend. There wasn’t any room for pity. He saw Harley as an obstacle to his removing Joker from this world, and he removed the obstacle.

I really liked how you portrayed Batman almost as if he sounded like he was at his breaking point.
This was the greatest moment of Batman's career. To have the courage to not break his ultimate rule. The willpower to not cross THE LINE despite the justification for it is far beyond that of even Green lantern himself. Maybe it was actually logical to kill the joker. But with a mind that broken, Batman would have became a serial killer. A Batman who doesn't hold back is the most dangerous Batman of all.

Seeing Batman in his breaking point is something you don't ever wanna witness, he's always kept his code deeply connected to himself up until Tommy got murdered.
What's even more scarier is how he describes the many ways how he can kill Joker. The guy was literally trained by ninjas & knows more techniques than your average fighter. This whole scene perfectly describes Bruce's rage against the many people that died from his arch nemesis.
9:47 “I can crush his windpipe and sever all oxygen to his brain.” Then he casually lists two more equally horrific ways he could kill Joker.
That’s a frightening look at just how scary Batman would be if he crossed that line into the dark side. He knows so many ways how to hurt someone; probably some that others haven’t thought of yet. Think about how much restraint, how much discipline it takes for him to have held it back despite everything the Joker has done to him over the years. Crippling Barbara. Killing Jason. Shooting down Jim Gordon’s wife. All the times he tried to kill Dick and Bruce himself. All the lives that sick freak ended while laughing it up, each death Batman holding himself responsible for in allowing this rabid dog to live instead of just putting him down and being done with it.
I don't blame batman for the deaths of all those sure batman is somewhat responsible but all those deaths are on the Joker and precise batman has saved more people than the Joker has ever killed
I've always thought Commissioner Gordon was the most underrated character ever.

I find it Rather Telling at How Pissed Batman is at the Joker in this scene. Not just by his rather rash actions(though justified)
But from his inner monologue.
He’s Utterly pissed off and blinded by rage as he beats the shit out of joker,But in his head He’s calm,Knowledgeable almost as if a part of his screwed up brain disassociated in his sheer rage.

Whether this is true or not is inconsequential... The risk of an out of control MURDERING Batman is too great... and Gordon knows this too. Who in the world do you call to stop Batman?

Also Jim Gordon could literally just shoot the Joker and it would end this recurring problem. Actually the grill is just that. Apparently Batman bashed out the Joker's teeth so he put that grill in and had "damaged" tattooed on his forehead.

Joker paralyzed Barbara, killed his wife tormented Gotham, and yet he stop Batman from killing the joker because he knows it's not what they signed up for and there's no going back
The irony is that when Joker killed Sarah Essen, Jim’s wife, Jim himself lost it. Despite Joker surrendering, Jim pulled a gun on Joker and was ready to blow his crazy brains all over the pavement until Batman talked him out of it. Batman even told Jim that he wouldn’t stop him if it was what he wanted, yet Jim in the end opted to spare Joker and charge him with murder.
A sick twist: as Jim was on the verge of putting the gun down, Joker actually taunts/threatens him by saying “You have a little boy, too, don’t you?” At that point, Jim lost it and shot Joker…in the leg. Then he arrests him.
This is really good you can hear the pain in Batman's voice you sound like Kevin Conroy.

Bruuuuuuuuhh. This is the first time I've seen the comic version of this story (I saw the movie first) and this is incredible! Even watching the movie, I had the strangest feeling of that something didn't sit right when I saw that scene. Like if something was missing or was it rushed. Dude the comic, that is some deep, sad and tense shit right there. The movie did horrible on this moment! Gordon literally brought out the cringey cliche out of nowhere "Gotham needs Batman. " bruh. That's not epic. That's just your average line. Why was it so hard to just have spent a couple more minutes on this moment in the movie rather than like speed run it?! And your dub is amazing! I'll be honest, no Kevin Conroy but if anything another great version of Batman. The actors for Arkham Origins Batman, the animated DC films, those Batmen weren't Kevin but still through time aged very well and are now either equals or runner-ups. You my friend fall among them. You should be proud of yourself. ❤👊🏽

12:07 I remember going to the library when I was 9 or 8 around that time I went into the comic book section and found a Batman comic book and looked through it forgetting the title. Then I asked one of the employees that walked by if Batman was biting him then he said no he's scaring him. I said oh then flipped through it more and saw this page which made me kind of sad to see Batman do this. This part of the video reminded me of that moment

Wow. It's stupid to say that batman if he killed is the same as the other murderers. He's not. They enjoy it and have fun with it and do it for their own sick pleasure. If batman killed the joker it would be for all the lives he's destroyed all the families he's destroyed and all the lives he will destroy. In my eyes. Killing one very evil man in honor of others and to save countless others but at the cost of myself being destroyed is not at all selfish. It is probably the most selfless act of all time. Batman gave the joker thousands of chances to change. But he did not. So yes Jim fucking Gordan. It is fair that he dies. If a man is willing to throw away his life to save and avenge thousands of people. Then let the lad do it. Especially if it is a man like the joker who will stop at nothing to see other people suffer. And Jim was right about one thing... The law is broken.
Have you considered the fact that why the law doesn't go hard on people like Batman is because he never kills and if he did they would have excuse to arrest him for vigilantism.

great voice work, I think every story would be so much better with your voices, thank you for your time and effort, salute! I am no kid either just turned 54 and have grown up with Batman and those were perfect believable voices.
Batffleck is this Batman, ridden with Jason's death. He physically beat Jared Leto Joker almost to death like this. He didn't kill him in movie canon. But like this, he had a choice. He chosed branding instead.

Omgosh I loved this so much more than the animated one I even screen recorded it but could someone tell me what exactly the music used is called especially the one where Batman is talking about his lost loved ones
This is so stupid. Not killing Joker is one of the biggest mistakes batman continues to make.
Because if Batman kills why should he stop why not kill scarecrow and Ivy even his friend Two-Face or Phantasm.
I personally think that the movie does it better. In the movie, Batman snaps. He doesn't think about killing the joker, and it's only when someone stops him that he snaps out if it. In this, he's bound and determined to kill the joker, even when Harley and Catwoman try to stop him. So, Gordon stops him, it makes no sense.
The movie does it worse:
In the comic Batman evaluates all the things he's done and believes he should die by his hands, and Gordon pleading to him as a friend hits hard, especially knowing the horrible shit Joker put him and his family through, yet he still asks Batman not to compromise his beliefs because of this psychotic clown.
In the movie he says "Gotham needs Batman" and he stops.
Superman, the UN, Alfred, Nightwing, Red Robin, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Jim Gordon and the Justice System/Courts all have stopped Batman from killing the Joker. Yet people blame Batman for not killing the Joker, yet so many people have enabled from not killing Joker.
