Mycelium isn't a root system, it's a fungal network. If you've ever been in the woods or gardening and seen whispy white substance that almost looked like spiderwebs in the dirt that's mycelium. It's basically everywhere and vital to the ecosystem/plant growth but its less comparable to roots and moreso and entire organism. The mushrooms that grow from it would most be like the fruit part of a plant but fungi are closer genetically to us than they are plants.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video, the way you film the previews is so delightful. Sorry for infodumping about mushrooms I just really like them 😂

I normally avoid kickstarters, but this will be an instant back.
This looks like a wonderful game. I love going on hikes and looking for mushrooms. Some of my favorites are Witches jelly, Earth Tongue, Corals and black trumpet. If I can swing it, I'll back it. You should go mushrooming when you have a chance, of course don't eat any unless with a professional.
