This message was made for me. When emy said, “stop blaming your mom for your wilderness” I felt called out. I’d been battling feelings of blame for years and I have been asking god to remove these feelings. But it was a reminder to me to stop looking at my wilderness as anyone’s “fault” and as a blessing from god. I think this is a big way we prolong this season, by being stuck in a negative mindset and a mindset of blame

As a woman of God, how do you cope with sexual sin? Me and my long term bf just broke up bc of this. How do you cope with breakups? How do you go about Godly relationships without giving into temptation. And if you do, how to come back from that. Bc that is why me and my bf broke up. We planned a whole future together, we were doing long distance but when we ended up getting together we would fall into sin. I’m sorry if this is tmi, but this is just my reality rn and idk how to go about this and process this and how to prevent it from happening in the future. He told me that he can’t control himself when he’s around me, to sum it up and that he would rather pluck out his own eye than to keep sinning. So he broke up with me and then blocked me. Idk how to cope. We didn’t see each other often in person but over the phone there was that tension and it just became more frequent. He didn’t want to work things out. He just said if it’s Gods will, then we will be together. But he blocked me. So idk what this means. He said he doesn’t have any answers right now. That he’s weak right now spiritually and that he doesn’t know if he’s the right person for me. Bc he says he knows himself and he can’t seem to control it right now. I feel very rejected. Only bc he doesn’t want to work things out with me. It makes me feel like I wasn’t good enough or that something was wrong with me that made him sin/want to sin all the time. I put all of my eggs in his basket, thought we were going to get married. He would send me houses, would talk about houses for when we got married. I am just very confused and hurt and need some sort of answer. Bc I just didn’t really get all the answers I needed before he blocked me. He said I had nothing to apologize for, to not blame myself for a situation he got himself into. And I’m taking all of this so personally. Bc it is personal to me bc I thought he was my person. I’ve never aligned with someone so easily and never been so compatible with someone ever. It happened very abruptly, so it’s been hard to process and comprehend. Is this God saying No? I went through a somewhat similar breakup a couple months ago but the Lord has freed me from sexual temptation. The only difference between your breakup and mine was that my ex cheated on me because he couldnt wait and deep down i knew he couldnt wait because he had a high sex drive. Take this time to grieve but dont be afraid to grieve and repent. He understands your struggle. Pray that God will remove your sexual urges even if this means you will be tempted more but know that you will deal with these temptations to test you. Do not entertain them. Thank the Lord that your ex did you a favor and gave you back your time. That He saved you from further damage . If its God’s will He will bring you back together when youre both spiritually ready, but do not wait for him to come back. Maybe God has someone better for you.
