Really like the fact that you are not afraid to mix and match when you feel like it.

I've always enjoyed your 'test-bed' bike. Saw it first on Flickr.

Can you drill out the rear hub to fit an oiler? Nice size rear cog, I find a lot of 3 speeds are too over-geared for mixed terrain.
Lovely handle bars. Do you run any bikes with inverted bars and longer stem projection?

Don't be so fricking useless and LAZY. Take them apart once a year and grease/ oil them.
I EASILY do 100 mile rides with my 42lb+ load 1973 CCM. It is 46/19T, 48 to 84 GI. And I'm 68 now. Going for SLOW short rides will NEVER get you in shape.
I did the hilliest highway here, 40 miles out to a lake. Hardly any difference to my other IGH bikes, just 1 mpg slower avg.
My SA XL-RD5w has finicky shifting, but is the MOST efficient hub I've had. It goes up to 46 mph easily on one medium slope hill.

Be polite, please. Who said cycling was to get in shape? My cycling is for transport and for enjoyment of my environment.

Now that you've a few years experience with this bike. Have your views on the modern SA hubs changed at all since you made this video?

Over half a century and 200,000 miles, and never had saddle discomfort.

I love your vintage pannier! Where may I find it? Also, I wish that I could find a bike like this here in the states! But no one manufactures and sells them!
    Also, what are "tweed rides"?
