GHD Hair Straightener repair saves £120

My wife's hair straighteners stop working and new ones were £130. After a little bit of research and investigation I found there is a common fault with the Thermal fuse. This is a quick and simple repair.

Using plier did not help. Hold in vice and tap element to slide upart

Great video - just trying to repair the Wifes. I guess I need a multi meter - any recomendations please? Never used one.

They can be quite confusing when first using one, and if you're only getting one for jobs like this then cheap and cheerful. Screwfix is a good bet

How did you know which side to change?

By checking the fuse wires for continuity.
