This is the undisputed peak of Initial D. If it had ended here you’d think Takumi and Keisuke were in for a fierce rivalry as they both climbed in skill. So much promise, but little delivery in the later stages
the author actually wanted to end it here but the publisher forced him to continue it against his will, so it's no wonder the later series are boring

I love the ryoske backstory..its actually why this anime got the name..so I cant agree with you. Yes its one of the best stages..but i find the later stages good too..all are great in my opinion, each for something.

He did. Then what Takumi wanted to do got in the way. So she broke up with him to let him go race.

The most underrated stage of Initial D for sure. I enjoyed 3rd Stage ALOT, especially the ending which is a hint that Project D is the next arc of the greatest Japanese racing anime

The art style and cgi in third stage is better in my opinion
I liked the Art Style and CGi of Third Stage but Fourth Stage CGi is my most favorite. Third CGi was great too, only thing is, Miki's car CG model doesn't have a gas tank and it has Curren shaped tailights. I loved the Art Style of Stage 3 the most though and its my most favorite out of all.
