And in the case of them being kpop idols, that's not exactly fair to say that. They may be part of an industry that cares about visuals, but that doesn't mean that they do. Yeeun even took part in writing the lyrics so you can tell it comes from something they believe in. Also, CLC aren't afraid to put in subtle references to the sexism and corruption in the kpop industry in their MV's. I this MV, Yujin (who is the visual of he group and therefore considered "prettiest" by Korean beauty standards and who is also, I think, the thinnest) is stopped from eating a strawberry, which she eats anyway. This is showing the ridiculous dieting they have in Kpop. And in Black Dress there is a scene of Eunbin pole dancing in front of the others, which I've seen interpreted as demonstrating the sexualisation of young idols, as at the time, Eunbin had only just turned 18 (?). This song is rebelling against that very industry they're part of and that's the beauty in the song. They know the industry's corrupt _because they're part of it_
It's a very intelligent lyric on the subject, which right there challenges preconceptions about kpop that it's all just silly pop music about love. "Innocent, sexy and cute, single words like that can’t possibly express who I am" addresses simplistic stereotyping. And to be honest, she didn't even say the word "dismissed" in Korean, it was a mistranslation. She said "the company told us that the group will have no activities", which means that they're on HIATUS. "Why do you still think that CLC didn't disband? It's so obious they did" NO. Eunbin told multiple times that the group would have resumed group activities after Girls Planet 999 ends! She said it two times: the first time in an interview on July 22nd, and the second time on August 1st on the UCUBE app, answering a fan's question which asked when the group would have made a comeback. And she said it way after Yujin recorded the first episodes of Girls Planet. The girls talked about a possible comeback multiple times in the year. For example during the lives, on the instagram stories, and Sorn even retweeted a tweet that talked about a CLC comeback in May 2021 (now deleted). They had worked so hard for so long, and yet no one knew them or recognized them. Well, the only time these girls should cry, is tears of joy, when we bring them their first win. Yeah...I LOVE the message of this song but...it is pretty ironic coming from an IDOL Girl Group 😕 Kpop is ALL about visuals. It doesn't matter if you are not talented, if you are considered beautiful, sexy or cute...You will be famous and loved. (I'm talking from the perspective of the Korean society and the Kpop industry, but it could apply for western culture too). Plus, they're wearing all those things in the MV (earrings, red lipstick, high heels, etc. 😐) That's way I think the lyrics are...contradictory.

They may feel comfortable wearing high heels, makeup and earrings, but they're saying that they're doing it by their own personal choice and not because of people telling them too. And in the case of them being kpop idols, that's not exactly fair to say that. They may be idols, but they're individuals too, and the industry they're part of does not represent who they are as women. They may be part of an industry that cares about visuals, but that doesn't mean that they do. Yeeun even took part in writing the lyrics so you can tell it comes from something they believe in. Also, CLC aren't afraid to put in subtle references to the sexism and corruption in the kpop industry in their MV's. I this MV, Yujin (who is the visual of he group and therefore considered "prettiest" by Korean beauty standards and who is also, I think, the thinnest) is stopped from eating a strawberry, which she eats anyway. This is showing the ridiculous dieting they have in Kpop. And in Black Dress there is a scene of Eunbin pole dancing in front of the others, which I've seen interpreted as demonstrating the sexualisation of young idols, as at the time, Eunbin had only just turned 18 (?). This song is rebelling against that very industry they're part of and that's the beauty in the song. They know the industry's corrupt _because they're part of it_

It's a very intelligent lyric on the subject, which right there challenges preconceptions about kpop that it's all just silly pop music about love. "Innocent, sexy and cute, single words like that can’t possibly express who I am" addresses simplistic stereotyping. And I think it's simplistic to see it as hypocritical to wear all those things listed. Contradictory, maybe, but that's something good art can do. Life's like that. I knew a wise old woman, sadly gone, who'd been an actress, model, writer, restaurateur, partied with Janis Joplin's band, married a spaghetti western star and lived on the Utah mesa. About as full a life as you could wish for. She once said, "Have the courage of your contradictions." She'd have liked CLC.

Yujin said that the company told them that they were DISMISSED, which is not having activites as a group for a period of time, so it's literally what Elkie said when she departed from the group. And to be honest, she didn't even say the word "dismissed" in Korean, it was a mistranslation. She said "the company told us that the group will have no activities", which means that they're on HIATUS.

NO. Eunbin told multiple times that the group would have resumed group activities after Girls Planet 999 ends!
She said it two times: the first time in an interview on July 22nd, and the second time on August 1st on the UCUBE app, answering a fan's question which asked when the group would have made a comeback.
And she said it way after Yujin recorded the first episodes of Girls Planet.
The girls talked about a possible comeback multiple times in the year. For example during the lives, on the instagram stories, and Sorn even retweeted a tweet that talked about a CLC comeback in May 2021 (now deleted). So don't say CLC disbanded because it's very clear that they did not.

Yes, it is true. But maybe the group has plans, many things can change thanks to Yujin on Girls Planet 999. There are many possibilites other than disbandment. Maybe Cube has plans (which I highly doubt, but I will say that anyway lol) to give the CLC name to the girls, so that they can go to another company and continue their careers; or maybe CLC wants to create their own sublabel like Suju and Apink did.
There are possibilities.
And we don't even know if CLC actually want to expire their contracts with cube, despite the mismanagement.
Please don't d-word CLC, nobody of them EVER even pronounced the word "disbandment" so please, stop saying CLC disbanded.
UPDATE: Eunbin said ANOTHER TIME to wait for them regarding to the comeback! This is the third time, she said it on August 23rd.

It made me very sad, when I was watching, I believe it was one of the earlier CLC Cheatkey episodes, (can't remember which exactly, seen to many things on them). They were still a group of 5, and Seunghee was still the leader. She said at one point in time, she went into the bathroom, turned on the water faucet real loud, and just began to cry. They had worked so hard for so long, and yet no one knew them or recognized them. Well, the only time these girls should cry, is tears of joy, when we bring them their first win. Lets keep fighting Cheshire, and show them that, we do know who they are, we do recognize them, and we do love them.
