We had so much horrible POLLEN explosion about six weeks ago! Then smoke from fires in Canada it’s about 7 hours north of me. Yet I wish I got one that had notification to change the filters and other details full and low.

Hello, apart from the dimension of the area where it will be used, which is the best option the 300s or 400s? I noticed in the reviews on the site that the air detector in automatic mode works better on the 300s than the 400s. Is that right?

Levoit Core 300S have wifi off/on option or is it always on when powered? If I don't want to use wifi can this device work manually or is wifi always on? I think in older version 300 they didn't have it.

The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!
Why do all Levoit air purifiers have the red note from California P65warnings, what harmful chemical does it release or what is the reason?

Can you set the timer to run so many hours, automatically each day? Sort of like the intex pool pump if you set 8 hours it does it again the next day.

It will reduce airborne dust, meaning less dust will settle on surfaces. However, it can’t capture dust that has already settled on surfaces, furniture, etc.

How comfortable it is to sleep when it works on auto mode or because of noise during sleep it is better to turn on the night mode?
I always set it on sleep mode when using it in the bedroom.
Is it normal for it to be set at highest setting then it shifts to a lower one by itself? Is it evening out?
If it's in auto mode, then this scenario is possible.

My bedroom is 300 sq. ft. Would the Levoit Core 300S be good for that size room or should I purchase the Core 400S?
I would recommend going with the Core 400S and using it at the lowest speed.

Compare it with Xiaomi smart air purifier 4 please
The only disappointment I'm having after buying the 300S is that it shows my air quality being very good all the time. When I put it in my room it showed "5" PM2.5 for a minute and then changed to 1. Put it in bedroom when sleeping at night, later checked the app to see that only at some points it rose slightly above 1. Which is surprising to me, considering I have 2 long thread carpets in my apartment and a cat who I am slightly allergic to.
We had wildfire smoke and both my 300s went up from 1 , one was 9 , other one 6. I had to turn the speed up from low to high to lower. One unit stayed at 8 and the other unit dropped to 1 with high speed, this unit has the best 4 stage filter in it . The other the original filter. So it is working. Wildfire smoke has gone outside and both are at 1 on low speed. I ordered another of those best 4 stage filters for the other unit.
@@jewelbriard5444 9 and 6 is still very good. In NY and NJ outside PM2.5 index is from 200 to 450 due to wildfires. But that is crazy.
The same happened to me. I bought it thinking my bedroom levels would be too high, and to my surprise when I turned the purifier on was that it was "Very Good" right out of the box. Yes, it is true that with use, a few PM2.5 drops, but I don't know to what extent it compensates. And another thing that bothers me a bit is that in automatic mode the power is always at minimum, and it gives me the feeling that it does not have enough power to absorb all the dust.
@@sergio_cases The only thing I am hoping for is that the PM2.5 detector doesn't detect all the things that the purifier purifies. Hopefully it removes more than the detector shows.
@@rayhoodoo847 I think the USA uses a different index to measure the air quality ? ... AQI index not PM2.5 index , not trying to belittle anyones local area , in Canada here it is PM2.5 ( 7-10 is high risk and 11 and over is very high risk ) and there are some conversion tools online, however I got different results from each. LOL Also here, they only say 11+ and never tell us any higher number such as 19 or 25.

Need independent testing of air quality. Leviit can design their app anyway they want. Key thing is the filter types which doesn't go into detail.

How would this work on a 400 sq foot room
You would need two of them, which is why I would suggest checking the Levoit Core 400S, which is much bigger and covers rooms of around 400 sq. ft.
My mom works at a nail shop and she has this but it has numbers on it.
That one is the Core 300, which is a bit older and not smart. Anyway, both are brilliant and do an outstanding job cleaning the air.
there is something wrong with the measurements. Levoit site says in sleep mode it goes to 22db but you registered 40db

Researched it. He is using a dba scale. Different than db. Dba is relative to how we hear the sound based on pitch, where db is the true sound level. Something like that anyways.

No, it's not possible to clean a True HEPA filter; you have to replace it from time to time. A pre-filter is the one you have to clean a few times per month.
Why Amazon shows it with 1095 sq ft and you said 219 sq ft?
It can clean the air only once in a 1095 sq. ft. room. However, the industry standard is 4.8 times in one hour (according to AHAM), which is why the more appropriate coverage is 219 sq. ft.
