What a lovely lady and wonderful talent! I absolutely love her dancing. Wish we had films of her Broadway shows. Wild Rose in Sally was such a great and energetic number.
I have just met Marilyn today and I'm already in love with her... just a little problem... she was born in 1898 and I in 1982... that's not fair...! Her performance in "All I want to do do do is dance" is wonderful. Well, with all my heart I hope that she is resting now of this hard life. In her biography, I read that her personal life it was not easy. Ishtar.
Im surprised to see this...my mom whom is also Marilyn said we have a kin to her somewhere in our family. That would be great with me. beautiful lady for sure.
debra covack marilyn Miller was my grandmothers aunt on her fathers side. Her maiden name was Reynolds. There is a book written about her called The Other Marilyn. In the book my grandmother is mentioned. You might could find how you are related through the book.
definitely could see how this would wow people in 1929. marilyn miller was probably the first multi-talented superstar in talkies. not to mention the excitement of the "third all talking color ever made". and released just a couple months after the crash. republicans were still under the illusion that the free hand of the market would correct itself. hahahaha funny how history repeats itself.
I love all music from the first half of the 20th century. THANK YOU for sharing .

That we can watch this great star of the fabled Ziegfeld Follies is near a miracle.

@LazlosPlane ~ including marilyn monroe, (suggested by a movie exec) who when signing for the first time asked how marilyn miller spelled her name.
You know, the name, "Marilyn," was a rare until Miller came along, then mom's named thousands of daughters after her.
Marilyn Miller is wonderful!! How did Broadway exist before or after her?
@Augie47 It didn't. Have you been to a Broadway show lately?
