In Kenya there is a initiative called to care box which as well donates sleeping boxes not to everyone though but women with low income.

I washed the new clothes for my second child but I didn't do that with my first because I didn't know I was supposed to do so then. This box is so packed and really thoughtful.

I don't wash new baby clothes. However, I wash new baby bottles plates and spoons before using them.

This baby box is origin Finnish idea and it has been giving for all mothers since 1949.Before that since 1937 it was giving for less fortune families/mothers. Many countries have been interested about idea and Scotland is one of the countries which has start giving this kind of aid/support. In Finland mothers can choose either money aid (which is much less worth) or baby box. I just wanted to bring history out here. I really keep thumbs up that these type of support like baby box will start showing up in many other countries too :) Blessings to all babies - mothers and families!

Wow! Wow! That is what I kept saying, I am jealous 😁 I 'tink' I will move to Scotland for my next baby! This is not in England óò, the best I got was a small bag for story books and the rest were information packs. I am so, so impressed. This is everything you need for the first weeks of life, like nothing more to except milk. The condom is purposely added for birth control, my midwife told me about 3weeks after birth to contact my GP for contraceptive because, she said you are mostly fertile after delivery 😁Nícey, nice

In England you get gifts but not this much, I had a good midwife who applied for me, i got some gifts like nappies wipes, breastpads, vouchers, baby story books, babysocks, sudocream, etc the council where i live will also give u gifts including milk, I also got free photo shoots. England is not that bad .....Scotland did really well, Nigeria my country 😢 it is well o

My sister I gat to move. I read that nursing is free and you get bursary. And rent is cheap compared to London which will make you save for mortgage deposit.

It can get very cold and dark in the winter so make sure that you get enough vitamins and minerals in the winter because its quite common for people from warmer climates to develop vitamin D deficiencies because there isn't as much sunlight in the winter months. But other than that it's a very nice place.

it’s for anyone who gives birth in Scotland ,who uses the NHS facility (you paid your health surcharge, so you’re entitled to it) .

Anyone that has a leave to remain can get one. So if you have a valid visa to stay you will pay a surcharge for using the NHS. Its basically a one time payment when you pay for your visa or renew it. So you don't need to be a full citizen just be resident in Scotland.
