To me, the most intimidating invader is one who wears the Fashion Charm.
It means they are confident enough in their abilities to "waste" a talisman slot, rather than use it to push their build even further beyond.
I use it on my "stealth" character since it helps hide you in grass if youre too close for the concealing veil to work.
I always use it, even on my Rl1 build, because fashion>function
for straightforward melee builds, there arent that many "must-have" talismans. like sure, you can put on Erdtrees Favor for a few points of HP and stamina, but its probably not gonna make a difference in the result of the invasion most of the time.
Be it invading or be it helping i always use a slot for the fashion talisman.
I used it to show off my 16th century german landsknetch build. It feels strange when i replaced it with another talisman
Every time i see the Zweihänder i think back to the chaos Zweihänder
Visions of giant dad
WOT RINGS U GOT BIHCT

The BASS CANNON
Murakumo was cooler.
I honestly think this pure knight build is more terrifying than any mega sorcerer type shenanigan build. Like it’s just a guy in a bucket helmet charging at you with the confidence to kill Gods
I have more fun fighting mega sorcerers because it fells like I’m fighting a boss

Miyamoto Musashi is actually the guy that invented powerstancing Katana and Wakizashi in a very special way (open to all eight sides).
nah
powerstance? I guess you could say that, inventing the style of dual wielding katana
There’s no other madlad who I’d see doing it back then.
Book of Five Rings big dawg
But in ER, he’s a white guy with knight armor and dual greatswords.
The knight greatswords are great for this build because the moveset actually incorporates real longsword postures and guards. In the full moveset, you can see VomTag, Pflug, Nebenhut, what looks like a low Ochs stance, and then what might be a form of Schlussel.
Heyyy you noticed that too???
Piccolo: NEEEEEEEERD!
I genuinely wish all the greatswords had this moveset. Would love to see the Claymore with the more refined HEMA inspired stances
The Schnitzel and Strudel guards are my personal favorites.
i did a lot of HEMA training in the Key Guard. i was demonstrating how to use a longsword in say, a small hallway or whatnot :) It resembles a Schlussel guard.
I like the knight simplicity for both pvp and pve. No need to use fancy effects when you can just brute force poise tank through your opponents katana and beat them into the ground with your giant sword
True but the second you meet someone better than you it’s game over
@@lebronejhames7265Well, isn't that the case with any build then?
@@lebronejhames7265you can still poise thru good players if you are also good
@@hunterhudson4577sometimes but usually fast swinging weapons or attacks are less punishing in fromsoft pvp. That's why they are soo popular.

Miyamoto Mushashi was a legendary samurai, known for his dual-wielding style of combat and his 61 duels won without a single defeat. He was one of very few men to be called sword saints.
Isshin Ashina?
@tonib.2371 probably inspired, at least in part, by Mushashi
@@tonib.2371 Isshin is more of a glock saint
Miyamoto Musashi build is fun given how simple it is. Easy to replicate face as well in creator when using presets.
it's incredible how just seeing people getting launched up in the air is so fun and entertaining XD
I totally agree. Quality knight builds are some of the most fun builds in the game.
Quality is quite weak in elden ring... Like its usable but only at a stupidly high level they should probably give it a little buff for start of the game. Running around as a pure knight no fancy magic just steel is pretty fun tho no matter the affinity.
@@fleggy5050every build is viable, you just gotta learn.
@@Voidio2454 with that reasoning RL1 builds are viable even when you don't meet the stat requirements you just have to be good... Quality builds are objectively weak unless you're a high RL with some outliers and even with those you end up having you cut back on other stats like endurance. Alternatively you could go for high RL quality builds but then you won't be finding many players in PVP or invasions. Also if you are investing so many stats into a quality build then there are other builds that will still outperform it because you have so many extra levels to work with.
Yeah... I'm not saying it's like a thing that has to immediately get fixed or the game is unplayable lol. It's just that nobody ends up using quality outside very very very specific circumstances. I mean yeah u can beat the game with nothing but sl1 and fibreglass, I'm just saying that Quality is not usable untill a high level and even then it's not really worth it
I wish there were more ‘knight’ sets in ER. Like in DS3 you had the basic knight set, herald set, nameless knight set, drake knight set, lothric set, etc vs just the knights (which looks way worse in ER) and the vagabond.
banished knight set go brrrrrrrrr
@@swordpvnkThe boots ruins it
@@dancingcucumber9183
This is why I switch it with something else like the Scale boots
I'm a fan of fingerprint knight set myself.
ER has a decent amount. We got the Drake Knight, Banished Knight, Crucible Knight, Nights Calvary, Fingerprint Knight, Basic Knight, & the knights of the diff regions (Redmane, Halingtree, Ect).
I like the roleplaying element of this one, could tell you were enjoying it
12:22 bless you
how courteous
For Honor Warden build, I made something similar in DS3 and just melted people in early level PvP without twinking my estus. Not my usual playstyle, so was real fun.
@awhellnah__ I don't think you know how twinking works... Twinking would be invading at Limgrave at low levels with max flask upgrades and endgame gear. You can't twink at level 200, he just has a better build, and probably way more PvP experience.
@@rosariocrimson elden ring has downscaling for invasions right? so I think a guy in limgrave just starting out can still whoop ass if he's just good at the game, probably not happening but hey, there's a chance right? lol
It isn't boring it's practical.
12:00 beast man just yeeted himself off the edge lol
5:00 Mushashi can just say he is fighting you with a pair of oars.
For those who don't know. Miyamoto Musashi is a kensei (sword saint) from Japan. He is most famous for developing the Niten Ichi Ryu style of swordsmanship, as well as his two books Book of the Five Rings and Way of Self Reliance. As he has both movies, comics, and TV shows based on him, go watch.
I love the maniacal giggles every time he almost kills someone
His CZcams avatar looks like Scarecrow yet he laughs like The Joker.
3:05 holy fuck, straight through the eye slit. what a shot.
getting the 2 birds stoned at once with the giant hunt was majestic
The music inclusion was a change but it seemed a bit loud sometimes. But otherwise it was pretty funny!
I rather listen to my own music. Its not my channel, not sure tf im parroting here tho lol
I have absolutely loved putting together and playing my quality build. But I do think that quality builds don’t feel that rewarding compared to doing a hybrid like INT/DEX, STR/FAI, etc. For how many points you invest, and having no magic whatsoever, I think the Quality Affinity should simply yield higher damage. If DEX has Lightning weapons, STR has fire weapons, Quality should at least have superior physical damage, but usually it doesn’t until you really pump your stats super high. It’s baffling that you can take a lower amount of points (60 points, say) and split them between STR and DEX, and pretty much any weapon will deal less damage on quality affinity than it would if you used Heavy or Keen, and put all those points into the corresponding stat instead of splitting the points. Part of the reason is that quality affinity gives you the biggest hit to base damage. But yeah, investing in two stats like that should give you some substantial reward, and a quality build should have unmatched physical damage on most weapons.
The biggest advantage of quality is allowing you use many more weapons, because you have both the Dex and Str required.
That said, Elden Ring features a lot of weapons that beside needing Dex or Str, they also need Faith or Int, which kinda lowers this advantage that quality builds used to have in past games.
@@lordofthecookie8555 True, but most weapons don't have very steep requirements. The Axe of Godrick is the only one that comes to mind that has legitimately steep reqs for both stats.
For a STR build, having 18 DEX is enough to use pretty much anything at all that will be good for a STR build. Anything with higher DEX reqs is usually going to be sub-optimal for a STR build anyway. With 18 DEX you can use the Golem Greatbow which is the main reason I level it that high. Otherwise you can comfortably hit like 15-16 and call it a day.
So for a Quality Build, being able to get decent damage out of pretty much any weapon is cool, and having the requirements for nearly any basic weapon is cool, but it doesn't feel like a big advantage. Because most weapons don't have very steep requirements, or if they do (Giant Crusher, Hand of Melania) they are usually for single stats only, and only that stat is needed to make the weapon effective, so the quality build is irrelevant. But at least quality builds have some Somber/Special weapons that rely on the equal stat spread, and I've enjoyed all of those.
I feel like quality should have higher base damage than standard, it is called quality after all
Musashi Miyamoto allegedly forgot his sword on his way to a duel on an isolated piece of land sticking above the water, so while in the boat he carved a sword out of a paddle and then killed the opponent in one blow.
He was a ronin (jobless samurai) and he's quite a famous and powerful fighter. I don't know how much famous he was in his lifetime but I think he even had a sparring match with the current shogun at the time (kind of like a warlord, who ruled japan or part of it instead of the emperor).
And yes I doubt he had 2 giant european fantasy swords, rivers of blood build would probably fit the nickname.
The build that carried me on almost every souls game, Zweihänder and offhand Rapier.
It just works
Finally you are using my build through every souls game.
3:00 its that one meme with the night and the arrow
Since I played Skyrim I developed a deep hatred against wizards so since then in other games my first character in male Knight and created the most efficient to fight/defend against magic

i love the supervillain monologue hes doing while laying into this group of randos multiple times. definitely good content
quality zweihander + cool metal armor was literally my DS3 build. I also used lot of resins and bundles for maximum swag. In ng+ i spiced witt miracles like replenishment, sacred blade or tears of denial.
So not a knight build at all then
Spear and shield for me. I can block stuff flying at me (don't know if it can block everything). Or parry stuff. Spear is long reach and can poke people on punish. Have to watch out for other shield and parry bearers. But besides that. Swing away and block anything If you can.
I love this trash talk and evil laughter Hahaha. Reminds me of the dark souls 3 video "being the boss" 😂
6:15 I was expecting to hear "Majestic!" after that laugh
13:17 That phantom was RL 460. That explains why they were using 2 Giant Crushers and Moonveil...

"This is but a scratch!"
I think that trailer inspired a LOT of pure knight builds across many games.
I too was inspired 💪
Outside of buff spells like golden vow, fmgs, and/or barrier of gold and the like, I just really enjoy classic big sword heavy armor dude. I think ashes of war kinda dominated the game more than I think is healthy especially in pve but also in pvp with things like rivers of blood being notable examples. It's why my favorite ash of war is cragblade where it enhances the playstyle rather than defining it.
Ah yes, the cinematic that also got people fired up to play "Human Fighter" characters in D&D.
Winning on a pure knight build is a straight flex, no fancy tech or crazy annoying spells. JUST PURE OORAH!
You laugh like an anime villain and it makes the videos so fun to watch, it's iconic
*SOMEDAY, LOVE WILL FIND YOU! BREAK THOSE CHANCE THAT BIND YOU!*
god i lost too much time watching that trailer
The brawl theme is the first fight is the perfect song to play
using crossbows as a quality knight build not for damage but to cancel spellcasting is fucking hilarious
I wasn't expecting the Smash Bro's music to hit so hard in first fight, excellent soundtrack choice!
I completely forgot just how epic the soundtrack from SSB Brawl was until now, thank you for reminding me Lost
ive actually thought about doing this. i do use vagabond with primarily focused on melee but i use a few incantations here and there
I love your vids, Lost, they always make me smile. Even if it hurts to smile (I have a face injury and I am recovering rn)
now this is the type of content to be uploaded to lost my sanity! awesome video!
Musashi wielded two katanas. He won his first death duel with a wooden katana. Leading up to his death he wrote the book of five rings. A combat handbook with some of his philosophy and story.
Hell yeah, that cinematic was soo good.
I wanted to play that knight as well.. sadly there was none.
You made me laugh the whole time. Thanks.😂
That first fight was EPIC
i love this kind of build with no trikky stuff and flashy moves, just good old steel and skill 👌👌
16:07 is literally every high level invasion i do😅😂 spam souls the game
One recommendation I have is the briar greatsword. Surprisingly good roll catching with the ash and it can also come out deceivingly fast after rolling, catch so many people throwing it uncharged after a roll and just casually getting almost a thousand damage.
I love that that Elder Scrolls trailer has become the poster child for the basic human knight class
I dont know if you realized but you kind of re-enacted the ESO trailer at the start of the video. That was badass.
I loved the Pure K***ht build! Your video looks very juicy.
Do you have any shaders for your game, or did you turn down the brightness?
your invasions are the best dude
I would love to know what mike u use that makes u sound so crisp.
Oh yes this is the one! Been wanting to a claymore only playthrough since the game came out. Nothing beats the pure knight build
I’m just imagine your knight character befor fighting he starts chanting a knights order for chivalry
The arrow through the eye was sick
For anyone who wants a better set to use I found that the Loretta chest and pants altered look pretty similar if you ignore the leg thing and for everything else do the same
I’m new to your channel, not sure how long you’ve had 100k but just wanted to say congrats
I enjoy the fact you actually show losses as well
always fear the man who walks around with a normal sword in a world full of magic
3:14 Damn they hit you exactly in the eye partition.
I like to use the chain set and the blue tree surcoat for a monty python look
This is really cool, I didn't even know there was pvp in Elden Ring until now
Musashi Myamoto was arguably the greatest swordsman to ever live. He was a writer, ronin, and philosopher. He wrote the book of five rings, won over 60 duels some against multiple opponents. And finally; yes. He developed his own style of swordplay which revolved around, you guessed it, two swords.
"You don't cry over dead people." And this was why Lost stopped being invited to funerals and wakes.
ayo, that banger playing during the first invasion. What song is that?
12:00
That wolf-man falling, looking like a frog had me crying of laughter.
Im new at the game. Witch sword was that besides Zwei?
"You don't cry over dead people, I'm pretty sure that's a rule"
Hahaha, yup, definitely adding that to my rules to live by
I seen so much cool magic in this and now I have to go find all of it lol
6:15 i swear i thought i was about to hear Micolash's "majestic" come right after Lost's laugh
What armor was that first guy wearing with the guts sword
It gives off "dare thy touch me pheseants?" vibe
This is exactly the build I play on every souls game. I start with like a claymore then move up to an ultra great sword
Ive played a basic knight and its so FUN its what i always start as and use in every From Soft game. Gives me time to acclimate.
im subscribing @0.45 seconds in because a man laughed like Dio

what's in the wondrous physick? How come it sometimes sounds like you're drinking a potion like 5 or 6 times without losing any?
hey lost, will you be playing armored core 6?
What his your chest piece in the beginning of the video?
my current build is a real-life knight / Winged Hussar build with the banished knights halberd. One of the most fun builds I've ran. Solo'd Radahn for the first time with it.
Musashi Miyamoto was a famous japanese swordsman and philosopher known for his two sword style of fighting
3:15 they thought they were real slick with that one
The Background music with the Gameplay is Just Sick!
Like the anime Bofuri, when asked how much Defense you want you said yes.
Opponents: “You are outnumbered! You are surrounded by many of us!”
Pure knight: “The only thing I’m surrounded is FEAR and DEAD MEN.”
6:14
I quite literaly expected him to say "Majestic"
9:40 was me and the Crucible Knight: I get hit, create space to heal, start heal, and BAM he dashes forward to punish heal. Repeat til' death.
You sound like a knight straight out of the Chivalry games, this is fantastic.
One thing that I _did not_ give enough credit to was how fun a basic-ass Sword & Board Quality Knight build could be.
this guy is funny as hell i subbed
Yep that cinematic did WONDERS for pure knight PR!
