well, if you watched the anime, kenshiro learns overtime to master a technique called "battle aura" that makes his body tougher than steel, and the plot of the series is that he ALWAYS at leasts fight people that either gives him a hard time or beats him bad the 1st time and loses in a rematch. the healing thing, i think it grows more quickly overtime as his body gets more time to heal, like with kaioh: he got banged up BADLY but he was in a near-death state and healed up real fast.hope i helped

I believe Souther's medical condition is called dextrocardia. There are actually three forms of this condition and Souther's is the rarest (Dextrocardia Situs Inversus Totalis), as not only his heart, but all his insides are reversed like a mirror image. Most people who have dextracardia just have the heart leaning to the right side, but everything else is normal or as normal as it can get with the heart being on the wrong side anyway.
I know the animation is fantastic. I know it's closer to the original manga's source material. But the 1980's anime is just so much more fun to watch. I appreciate the fact that they wanted to make a modern adaptation of HnK. But they made a "serious" adaptation, thus stripping the factors that made HnK so great: cheesiness, recycled animation, melodrama, overly dramatic music, and WATAAA. I'm not saying this series is bad. It's excellent. But it's missing WATAAAA
If Zach Snyder brings back almost all the characters from 300 they can make Fist of the North Star. I believe he would read the manga and watch all the anime series and do what he does, he stays as close to the source as possible. We need to bring that idea out somehow...
Two reasons why Kenshiro always win at the end. First, and most foremost, this makes better animation. Second, it has to do with Hokuto shin ken. Hokuto shin ken destroy opponents from inside out through pressure point. One precise hit will kill the enemy, but imprecise hits do little damage. Nanto sei ken destroys opponents from outside in, so it does not require precise hit. Consequently, nanto will always has the upper hand in the beginning of a fight when the two are merely trading hits.
So is Ken like Bruce Lee combined with Guts? I grew up with a brother that was obsessed with Fist of the North Star so idk what it's really like. We like different anime/manga but I get a Guts and Bruce Lee vibe from Ken.
He's also a tragic hero like Guts. The difference is that Guts while not downright hate them chose to not really care about strangers that much, if you're weak then you're better off dying and all that. Kenshiro on the other hand chose to help people in need even though he's a killer himself. He's some sort of a killer of killers, a karma for evil people, which is not a short supply considering the state of the world.
Indeed. Their similarity is that both are tragic heroes. Guts lost his friends and Casca, while Ken lost his wife and then later on his friends too. Guts reacted with anger (as he should) and revenge became his main drive for the most part of his journey. Kenshiro took a different route, because he kinda realized that he's not the only one with a problem since the world is already screwed. Kenshiro also respects most of his enemies going so far as giving them proper burial, even the one that took his wife and left him for dead. As long as you man up to what you've done, whether it's good or bad and ready to die for that, Ken will see you as a true man and worthy of respect.
Yep, all these martial artists are much stronger, so techniques which can kill a normal person would only wound them. This is especially so that Raoh and Kenshiro only get skin-deep wounds from Nanto fighters, while a normal person would have been cut into half.

Goku kills one stroke Kenshiro, Kenshiro also remembers that only a human, and if he beat goku, not any good, because although points can hit humans, remember that Goku is a Saiyan, not affect in anything besides Goku's body is stronger than steel, basically can not even transfer his body to even touch points of your body.

Haven't gotten to any part with Roah or Toki only seen the first two parts with the nurse with the healing powers and clips here and there like this one. But I've read about displeasure with Roah. If he doesn't convey that personality he had at the very end of the 80's series I will have to agree.

I understand he Hokuto Shinken (or whatever name is applicable) being the best style. But i just seems to 'easy' you either have it; and win every fight against anyone who does not, or you don't and ken kills you with the slightest tap of a pressure point.
So... There's 2 version of Hokuto no Ken... this one is different as I have seen almost 20 years ago... (1988)! This version has a better animation, but that other version is more colorfull.
