Still insane to me how he was essentially given away for nothing. He goes from no ice time to waivers to forcing himself onto a lineup to tucking a franchise's very first playoff goal.
It's very cool. And the clip of all those kids just absolutely losing their minds over him and demanding to have his stick was hilarious.
Nashvilles loss! Though it would had been cool to see him play with his fellow finn Pärssinen.
I'm so frustrated that my team didn't pick him and that he fell all the way to Seattle lol!
I cried when I heard that little boy had cancer. I wish you all the best in life, you and your family. ❤

Oh, that was such a wonderful glimpse of our Eeli and his family and the journey he took to get to us! His story was so great over the course of last year -- here's hoping for another breakout year for Eeli with the Kraken this season! And what an amazing thing to have his nephew come see him - the "Uncle" jersey was adorable, and I'm sure Buoy made that special, too. :)
This was great. Eeli was one of my favorite players and stories last season. I loved that they filmed it in his home town. Awesome!

If Tolvanen can repeat the production from last season then perhaps he himself won't be the only one calling him a sniper.
My parents are Finnish and I had a great-uncle named Eeli. It's actually not that common of a name.

The summer is the only nice time here in Finland. Pretty much 9 months of the year the weather is shitty.
Try heading up north sometime. Snow might not be your thing but it can be rather magical up there (in Lapland).

I feel like there's some automation going on even in the "official" captions. They got some of the interviewer's words wrong just as well so I don't think it's got to do with the accent.
