Went to 2 “secret” NIN shows in New Orleans in the mid-90s. They were basically announced the day of and you had to drop whatever you were doing to get a ticket. Were the most insane chaotic awesome etc etc etc live performances ever.

Saw them 6 or 7 times in the 90s. New Orleans - 1991 Tipitinas, 1994 State Palace Theater w some scary guy no one had heard of Marilyn Manson, 95 Downward Spiral tour, and the 2 secret shows.
Road trip to Austin for NIN/David Bowie.
No cell phones, no selfies.

@@rotkev God dam! That had to be absolutely amazing. Especially seeing an early Manson with NIN. WHat a time to be alive man. In your 20's, in New Orleans getting to see all of these titans of 90's rock in their early career/prime.

You definitely need to do more NIN. Live? Check out the entire concert video for And All That Could Have Been. Some of their best stuff and one of the great concert videos. Be sure to check out The Fragile and With Teeth- two of my faves from them.

You must do a video from the 2002 Live NiN performance "And All That Could Have Been". I suggest "Frail The Wretched". I am sending you the complete live DVD performance and there are no commercials and you can take your pick because other than Woodstock 94 this was the best I've ever seen Nine Inch Nails Live. Beside You In Time Live DVD ..I'm in the crowd. A true fanatic..I just wish I was at the 2002 AATCHB performance

Well, he was living healthily at this time and I'm sure is energized by being in front of thousands of fans. There's really no reason anyone can't still be energetic at 50.

The Tension 2013 tour is incredible, and has probably the coolest lighting I've seen in a live show. "Disappointed" is mind blowing.
I think the stuff they did in the mid to late naughties was better because it was more groundbreaking plus they dumped terrabytes of video and audio onto the Net I think it was mashed together with fan footage and released as TOIOU (this one is on us).

Pretty cool version, but nothing beats the Lights in The Sky tour for insane visuals. Especially the Big Come Down, but the entire show was life-changing.

My favorite NIN song, hands down. You should also check The Wretched...easily the most haunting track from The Fragile.
