- This video shows how I store the bagger for the BX23 series Mower. In my opinion this attachment is probably the worst in terms of easy of use/mounting/storage. It is better with the dolly, but they didn't think this attachment through as well as ones like the FEL.
Thank you!
Great vid thanks
Good video. No offense, but now you know why Kubota doesn't sale many of these. And yeah, I have had one since 2012 but I completely redsigned the hook up part, I can back up to mine and pick it up like the quick disconnect hitches. Good luck to ya.
Sandia, Do you have any pictures of your setup with the quick disconnect hitch? I plan to do this also.
@@roop9754 Unfortunately I don't, I sold the tractor last year along with the hitch set up. I will see if I can find an old picture of it.
John, thanks for posting the video. Can you tell me the size of your plywood?
Thanks
Todd,
I have sold the bagger since we never used it so I can't measure it anymore. I basically made the plywood to be the shadow of the bagger to make storage easier. That would let me press other things up to the plywood and know i wasn't going to hurt the bagger.
Do be aware that the center of gravity is way off center. If you are looking at the 3 point hitch, it is much closer to the front right then center. Because of this the back left of the plywood was just hanging in the air instead of being on a dolly.
You can see this in the video. You could make the plywood be just big enough for the feet and it would work fine.
John
Great video. Thanks again for posting. Is the model of that bagger GCK60-26BX or GCK60-23BX?
It is the GCK60-26BX, did this video cover what you were looking for?
Yes, very informative. Thank you very much.
Great video! I just bought a 2670 with the same bagger. I'm new to Kubotas but am guessing It's going to be a challenge to go from the bagger to other 3 point attachments like say a plow or a ballast. Any thoughts?
Sorry Paul, somehow I missed your comment. If you want to use other 3 point attachments I would stay away from the Kubota bagger and go with one of the many alternatives out there. I know there are baggers that you can put on a 3 Point Quick Hitch, then put Quick Hitches on your other tools. Then swapping between them is a breeze. Another option is to get a tow behind bagger (they usually have their own motor for the impeller which is also good if you have one of the smaller tractors). I only went with the Kubota bagger since it was the only 3 point attachment I was planning on using.
I just bought the same bagger used and it didn’t come with the 2nd adjustable link arm and the fixed point brackets. Is it possible to attach the bagger if the link arms are attached to the hydraulic arms?
The problem is this bagger will only accept the PTO drive shaft at a very limited angle range. Since the hydraulic arms are on the same linkage as the mower deck, they move together. As you raise and lower your deck you would end up destroying the bagger PTO arm and probably damage your tractor. You either need to go back to whoever sold you the bagger for the remaining parts as it is not functional without them, or you will need to buy them separately. Good luck!
@@jgvicke Thanks! I think I found the parts I need to attach it to the frame. Is the second adjustable lift arm necessary?
@@dylanquinn893 Yes. You have to be able to lower the link arms to attach to the bagger when it is on the feet, then use the screw part of the adjustment arm on both sides to lift the bagger into the air. Once it is in the air you can then raise the storage feet and you are on your way.
I will note that if you put the bagger on a device that can do the lifting for you (such as a lift cart) you could use a solid link on one side. It would be a lot cheaper and easier to just get the 2nd adjustable link arm... :)
@@jgvicke Ok thanks!
I the only other reason I can see that they require a second adjustable arm is that it is necessary to swivel it at the frame-connecting end to align it with the bracket holes. Do you think the solid, unadjustable arm has the correct angle to attach to the brackets? The brackets curve, so it might fit, but it is hard to say without having the parts in front of me.
Thanks for the help - you are a great source of information!
@@dylanquinn893 Since mine came with both adjustable, I never had a solid link arm so unfortunately I can't comment on how it would fit.
Do you have a better video and measurements of your dolly. Thanks
My pto shaft was lost in a move what model are you using? I really don’t want to cut/shorten one myself 👍
I am using the PTO shaft that came with the bagger. I would go talk to your local Kubota dealer to find the best replacement.
Hello from Alabama. Where did you by chance get your orange swing arms?
Check out my video about them here: czcams.com/video/lPjXpXZpaNA/video.html
It has the contact info in the description for the guy that made them.
This looks like a huge pain. What alternatives are there for grass/leaf bagging to the Kubota attachment?
From Kubota.... none.
From 3rd party.... tons!
If you want to use the Kubota mowing deck, you would still need the side shoot accessory that comes with the bagger (but you can order it separately for ~$300), then get any number of 3rd party 3 point baggers or tow behind baggers. If you want capacity, go the trailer bagger route, they can hold a ton!
@@jgvicke Thank you for the response, and for the video! Any recommendations one with best design for taking unit on/off with ease?
im looking for those anti-sway bars, where did yo get those? i hate the ones that come with the bx
Check out my video on just the sway bars here: czcams.com/video/lPjXpXZpaNA/video.html
I have the person I purchased them from in the information, and show them in more detail of how they are attached to the tractor.
Good video, audio too low.
Were can I get that PTO shaft?
It came with the bagger. I am sure your Kubota Dealer could hook you up with the part number.
You may want to redo the video and take the video from the opposite side so we actually see what you are doing instead of your butt 😁
great video of your back only need some verbal instructions as to what you are doing as you do it. Can't even see half of the process. could have received better instructions and know how through the instruction manual. Video was a waste of time. Most informative part was on the dolly. Sorry but I was an instructor for the military for 17 years
