One thing I will say is that Usopp didn't have his goggles because originally he doesn't buy them in the manga until Loguetown, so it makes sense for him to not have them yet.
there is also the idea that he got them after facing off against daddy the father (but this was a scrapped oda thing that got repurposed for the anime)
Also, that Kaya kiss scene would be really awkward with his trademark Usopp nose.
He had regular goggles before those tho.
Im glad they didn’t include the nose tho. That would be cringe in live-action.
I was literally coming in the comments to say just that, you get a gold star
@@ronnieedge2236You know, I never really thought about that, how would Usopp, Arlong, or Kaku kiss someone?
So the Mr. 7 scene was put in as an early action set piece because in the manga Zoro did kill Mr. 7 when he tried to recruit Zoro for Baroque works, it happened off panel before Zoro was introduced in the manga. Zoro confirmed this during Whiskey Peak.
Duh
@@TheNumbers97 Please be respectful
Yea, I really loved they incorporated that Mr.7 encounter because it really took me to that episode in the anime when Zoro mentioned it, and adding that encounter in the live action was so awesome to watch as a fan of the anime and manga.
he kills mr 10
I died laughing when I saw that Mr.7 was black and Zoro killed him.
The producers know what they're doing
Zoro eating dirty food off the floor to cheer up a scared little girl is one of my favorite moments from him. No way you said that was him trying to look cool and brooding when that was the literal opposite
You also have to factor in that for that little girl he was eating chocolate which Oda has remarked is something he dislikes.
yeah some of the complaints in this vid were weird lol, particularly relating to zoro.
i really don't understand how he thinks that this zoro is trying too hard to be brooding lol, like he's just as sarcastic as he is in the manga and has plenty of quips throughout the season. and the whole "he just wants to wear black because he wants to look fool and brooding" bit doesn't make sense at all lol. Nami was also gonna wear black, does that mean she's just trying to look cool and brooding? No lmao. Zoro's line was played as a joke. And the outfit itself is a very clear reference to the volume 7 cover art.
I'm starting to think buddy just didn't pay enough attention to the show lmao. Just got past the part where he says Sanji only smokes one cigarette the entire season while showing footage from episode 5. But he most definitely is smoking right before the walk to arlong park.
It doesn't make any sense when he did the complete opposite
He ate the rice balls because he was starving
Not to mention it ruins the whole first impressions of the demon human that is Zoro
@@memebrain2177 I’m assuming the girl was feeding him while he was stuck on that cross too, we just didn’t see it.
our first impression of him is him cutting a man in half. him not eating the food off the floor isn’t going to make a girl smile isn’t going to convince his haters to like him.
As someone who initially had no interest in One Piece previously, and only watched the show because my siblings were watching it, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. It left me wanting more and now I’m considering picking up the manga because of it
do it!
Absolutely do it, worth every minute!

I'm not a One Piece fan and honestly? I enjoyed the hell out of it. I definitely benefited from not having plot expectations.
Pretty much the reaction I've seen from all the people in my life who came in fresh.
I am not a fan but have watched a few seasons. So I had some idea. I enjoyed this a whole lot
Not a fan, watched a few hundred episodes, I liked live action much better than the anime. Anime was good but the pacing was just soooo slow I couldn't really justify watching it.
Live action on the other hand? Silly good pacing. Things move at incredible pace while never feeling rushed, and them finding times to just stop and hold onto important moments. It's like distilled and polished version of the original, all the good with all the fluff removed.
@@gJoniijust read it
Prefer anime. Live action is too Disney-like. Zoro acting cool at all times is a turn-off.
Some of the changes you've mentioned are just little manga story bits you probably forgot. Zoro said he had been approached by Baroque Works when he was working as a pirate hunter, although never said he fought one, so that was probably just added to give him more character before joining the crew. Usopp didn't get his goggles until Loguetown when he took on the bounty hunter Father. Usopp's missing nose isn't a problem to me, his relationship with Kaya is sweet, but its his lack of being loud and actually visibly scared was a problem to me. He always looked and acted like a lonely nervous college student away from home for the first time. The Baratie was the best as far as characters, in my opinion, I cannot get enough of the guy who played Zeff and liked the kid who played young Sanji. "You et it?!" The expression on his face mixed with that matter of fact statement had me nearly laughing and crying because I could feel the dumbfounded mixed emotions he was feeling. I don't like how they cut the Don Krieg/Luffy fight, they had all the pieces to that arc, but just decided to put it in different places done by different people, I don't feel like Aarlong needed to be introduced that episode and just took time away from everything else. The Luffy flashback was... okay. My only real beef is with Shanks and Luffy on the boat facing the sea king. Having it just half ass lunge at them and not destroy the boat and just take Shanks' arm was just so anti-climactic. If it smashed the boat and then showed Shank's using haki, it would've looked way better. Did the actor just not know how to swim?
As for Garp and Coby, Garp was already in the East Blue dealing with the fallout of Captain Morgan. They basically just added the Dairy of Coby-Meppo to replace a bunch of the random marines you run into during the arc with a weird angry grandpa love B plot. I don't really care for the part where they early reveal Garp being Luffy's grandpa or the bit at the end where they kind of mash them together, but I can see why, but I just don't care for it. The lack of Hachi and Jango was disappointing for sure.
Reading this as the dairy of coby-meppo makes the live action seem like we downloaded the wrong one piece. 💀
Edit:poor spelling
I really like sanjis weird accent because it kinda foreshadows that he isn't from the east blue like the rest of them
I actually really like Koby in this show when i was always annoyed by him in the anime. I felt like they got to the core of why the character exists and added a throughline to the season other than the fishmen.
so many people are complaining about him and garp being major parts of the show and im all for it, i hated koby in the manga and anime till his glow up re show up so humanizing him and making him not a pisspants little baby boy was a nice step. also garp is just awesome so him showing up 700 some odd chapters early is fine by me
@@mentallychallenging I like coby in the show but I think garp was revealed to the crew WAY too early. I think it should have been at least in the alabasta saga if they can't wait for water 7
@@legomeaker101potato i think they just wanted to make sure they put it in because they only had a contract for 1 season so i can see why they did it now.
@@legomeaker101potatogarp was shown early in the manga and anime...he just wasn't confirmed to be luffy's grandpa. I think that's what they should have held off on revealing.
@jacobmech1 I think already got the script done for season 2. So as long as this has good viewer retention, season 2 should be on the way
Usopp's role in the show is more to bring them all together. Before him, everyone kept saying they werent a crew. Nami kept a stone face and never really laughed or smiled. When he joins the crew, its a big moment when she bursts out laughing. Hes rhe emotional core of the group, which will REALLY come into play in ljke...season 3 or 4
Way better than the Cowboy Bebop live action adaptation.
Exactly.
I don’t know if I would say Zoro was portrayed the worst. He is kind of wild but remember in Tue anime/manga he was gonna cut his legs off just to get out of that wax 😭. Some of the main gags that revolve around him like always sleeping when everyone else is up and having no sense of direction just need more time to develop in the live action I think
they at least made a joke during syrup village when he finds luffy that he thought he was heading back to the house, which is vivible from the well i might add lol
Zoro Mackenyu is definitely one of the highlights of the shows. All the people that said he is the worst part are ridiculous and have ulterior motives! Just look at how that CZcamsr tries to imitate Zoro, mocking and irritated at same time.
Because objectively the worst part is the added Marines storylines and Garp changes. It is more filler than anything.
The straw hats are what makes One Piece first and foremost.
yea also iirc zorro WAS bad ass in the early manga/show. all those goofy stuff came later (probably brain damage over time xD)
@@CosmoLav That isn’t true at all. Garp was amazing in this show.
I think "warrior" characters need more time to cook because as an audience you start seeing past the stoic behavior to the humor underneath.
im actually glad they left out ussops nose. it would have broken all the tension in every scene. arlong makes sense because hes a fishman. buggy makes sense because hes a clown. but if they just stuck a huge piece of rubber on a human actors face that was suppose to be somewhat of a main character....i dunno. i think his long nose was just a metaphor in the anime that he lies all the time.
I think they captured the spirit of One Piece very well. The actor for Luffy really had that freedom of adventure and being his own kind of pirate down really well. Excited to see what a season two is gonna look like and do if they get an even bigger budget.
Will be hard to get a bigger budget, they spent like 18 Million per episode! (It shows)
The reason for the Boroque Works scene addresses how Zorro knew who they were by the time they ambushed him in Whiskey Peak
I mean,it might be toestablish zorro as badass, but yeah thats canon ad why he knew about baroque. .
@@marocat4749 while it certainly was used to establish how badass zoro is, it definitely also served as foreshadowing for baroque works. They didn't throw in multiple close up shots of the Baroque Works card for nothing.
But it was implied that zoro already had that in his bounty career
No the same day that luffy started to set sail to start his pirate adventure
I loved this live action. I had a really fun time watching it :) even more than that - my sister knew nothing about One Piece, but she decided to watch it. She really liked it, too :) i really hope this live action ends up making more people fans of One Piece :)
To me the arlong park is the best anime arc I cry EVERYTIME
I roped my husband into watching One Piece LA with me. He's never watched or read it before and he quite enjoyed it.
I’m with you on Hachi being too important later on to cut out. But Django?! Yeah, no. Literally nothing is lost from cutting him out. Like seriously what significant thing did he contribute to the story after his arc other than some stupid overused cliche where he pines after Hina?
He literally is the reason why the Marines think Captain Kuro is dead/arrested. He's the one who hypnotized Morgan axe hand to think he was the one that took him down.
@@FoNgThOnG Oh no you misunderstood. I should’ve clarified. A lot is lost from him being cut out of syrup village but afterwards he’s pointless
My theory on this is that Hachi wasn't in the budget and not to mention time wise. If they had the original 10 episodes proposed instead of the 8 given, then maybe he fits in. I 100% agree that he's too important later on in the story, but if you are writing the script per season then you have to somehow balance all this together. I think Nami's trauma of fishman can still be explored if they reach Shabody without Hachi in the LA universe, but there may a way to add him somewhere else before then.
Keep on doing that and watch as your favorite side character not appearing.
@@Phillylove100I think they slightly make up for this by just not explaining at all like they do in the manga or anime
um... the black suit by zoro is a refference to the cover of volume 6 and it's possible... usopp will get his googles from daddy the father (one of thew few filler things based on a scrapped oda thing)
The best compliment I can give the show as a casual fan is this made me want to read the manga
Do it
it made me happy that i dont have to read the manga and put up with that awful art style :D
@@LynnHermioneU have no idea what u r talking abt
"It's about as good as it could possible be" 6:50 . Hit the nail on the head, they did their jobs. Due to it being so good, hopefully that get more money for season two and they can really take off.
if they made that usopp’s nose that long it would’ve looked stupid af and taken you out of every scene he was in. they chose right not doing that
People always forgetting about Alita Battle Angel
I really like Nami in this show and I think she had the best backstory. I think Zoro was great too. I do think he could be a bit less stoic though.
Idk I feel like that mihawk fight was bad tbh
@@pyrospikeI feel like it properly shows the difference in skill between the 2 very well. It gives us something to actually look forward to when they fight again
@@everettjohnson9374 I mean in that aspect it did the show to standard with the animation but that animation is old and looked dumb there, they could've done something
@@pyrospikeWdym
@@pyrospike I agree. The camera angles hid the choreography of how Mihawk defeated Zoro in the live action. In Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends, Kenshin uses a blunt sword to fight his master who's just using a twig to beat the crap out of him. However, in this case, every single movement is clear for the viewer to see.
This adaptation, to me, is very good and I hope they do more One Piece episodes. The actors did a good job representing the anime characters. Hey, if Oda approves it, so do I. The moods come out of the stories.
The snail phones were terrifying.
As someone who is friends with intense OP fans, and having never gotten into it, this was a pretty great way to start. The guy playing Luffy just has an infectious energy about it.
I mean they were puppets not cgi so yeah hella creepy but in a good way
i cant be the only one who got the robin williams "hook" vibes from the set pieces am i?! while i was watching the first episode i was absolutely floored and was taken back to my child hood when i first saw the movie hook and was awestruck by the set designs!
I had completely written live action one piece off before i saw clips on tiktok and they had me like ". . . . am i wrong? is this actually going to be good?!?!" holy crap i am so glad i was proven wrong!!! these guys are killing it!!!
the only beef i have is that one instance in the beginning of episode 1 where zoro's swerd bent in half as he rolled lol!!
Felt like the goonies to me, but I totally get you ✊
Bleach, jojo, detective pikachu, alita battle angel, gintama had good live adaptations but for some reason no one mentions these........I wonder why
Agree, Im waiting for the sequel for Alita
The full metal alchemist and ruroni kenshin live adaptations were pretty good in my opinion too
The only 2 people i knew from the cast was emily rudd because i saw the Netflix fear street films and jeff ward because he was one of the major problems during the last 3 seasons of agents of shield. I could see it was him through the buggy makeup before i even looked it up.
The human acting is completely fine, it's just that shonen characters constantly over-act by design, and that makes it incredibly hard to translate. Even from the original to the dubbed version of the anime, some of Luffy's enthusiastic screams translate in a very goofy way into other languages (the first few arcs in the german dub are a good example), and while Iñaki is trying really hard, some cheesy lines are probably meant to stay in a cartoon.
I think his scream “of course I will” during the arlong park scene was pretty cringe. Like I understand that’s the official translation of what he said in the manga, but you can CHANGE IT to make it sound better and more natural in this medium.
@@user-hifk1761nah. I think you have to get ballsy and take the risk to make luffy's personality as close to the manga and anime as possible. Inaki did his best to bring that to the table. I think you have to for the fans of the source material. Oda also picked him for the role. So I believe it was 100% an oda decision to go this route. I think Inaki put on a good performance. To me, it grows on you as time goes on. My gf even originally didn't like the way luffy is so goofy in the anime until mid way through the east blue. You gotta let the character of Luffy cook and grow on the audience to capture the feel of the story. To grasp the goofy adventure
@@LuciferArc1 I get it, and everyone seemed to like Inaki's portrayal so wtf do I know. I just didn't think he could sell the emotional beats too well. I think he def has Luffy's essence naturally, I just don't know if I like him as an actor.
Regarding portraying anime scenes exactly, I wish they'd adjust some things to fit the medium is all

i tried to watch one piece years ago in my early weeb days, but couldn't get into the anime after a few episodes, and never tried again. i didn't hate it, just thought it wasn't for me. however, i loved the live action so much that it made me pick up the manga. literally. this is the first time in ages that i'm reading a manga in it's physical form, pacing myself and making sure i absorb every detail as I wait to get my hands on the next batch of volumes (even tho i literally have a jump subscription). something about reading it this way makes me feel like i'm a kid again. i also finally understand all the hype around oda as a storyteller.
great video, was looking forward to your review
Thanks for the vid
The Wild Arms lover on your crew gets me every time with the music.
The scene where Zoro Climbs to the top of the well isn’t something unique to Dark Knight rises.
I think Climbing a wall or something very tall is something more unique to Japanese culture when they want to show how difficult the path is for the person climbing it.
Here is some other forms of media where it’s done.
•JoJo Part 2 Battle Tendency
•Street Fighter 2 Animated Movie
•Double Dragon 2 (PC-Engine)
•Naruto Shippuden (Guy & Kakashi)
I’m pretty sure theres more. It’s just not used commonly anymore and Dark Knight Rises is still fresh in many ppl’s minds.
Luffa does it during drum island and gon does it in hxh
I just wanna say, I think they will do even better for season 2! The source material is a lot more set up for a season-long arc with beginning middle and end than East Blue. Don't get me wrong, it is BIG and will require a lot of cuts... but I think the structure is overall easier to adapt. Also, I think crocodile is an easier villain to adapt than arlong.
I needed this review
“And yes I basically noticed this stuff because I looked for it”
I agree on the nit picks mostly, but sitting down for enjoyment vs critique is a different and supremely satisfying experience. Generally, the leaps and chances taken (like with the score) to translate the source to a new medium were an emphatic success imo
Honestly I like seeing a walkthrough of your cinema watching habits. I enjoyed the dissection. I was also pretty saddened by Hachi and Django being left out. The missing Django screen time was the first point of disappointment, but the wanted board having Foxy on it killed me. I may rewatch it to check out any Easter eggs I may have missed
I was waiting in front of the TV waiting for the drop, and binged the entire 8 episodes with a smile on my face. I usually don't binge, because I get sleepy after 2 episodes of any TV show, but for OPLA, my mind was ready for it. When I finished watching, I spent another 3 hours looking for reviews on CZcams. It was a good day.
I've never watched one of your videos before but it's very obvious by how you talk that you're an audiophile... so hearing you gush over the live action's score is VERY high praise - especially coming from a fan of the anime.
It did feel a little all over the place, like they weren't sure if they wanted to just tone down the silliness or embrace it. I absolutely agree that Zoro stood out as the most out of character, I have no idea why they made him a brooding edgelord, not even post timeskip Zoro is like that, let alone pre-timeskip where he laughed and joked around a lot more. He's not as goofy as the others but he's not some kind of stoic. Nami also seemed way too serious, but at least that I get that it was done to maybe make the impact the climax with Arlong and her little betrayal hit harder.
Sanji and Buggy's performances were my favorites. I think they not only nailed the characters, they even enhanced them in some ways, which imo, should be the goal of a live adaptation, not just a 1:1 replica. Sanji being a cheesy flirt is miles better than constant nosebleeds and screaming.
Like you said 1:1 won't work or else they would have done Pervy creep Sanji.
Zoro LA is more grounded, he is a killer and him being stoic makes more sense and consistency.
Zoro anime IRL would appear bipolar for newcomers.
And for the voice of Zoro LA, same thing for Jon Snow or Geralt Witcher Netflix, styling choice.
Great review
When I first had access to anime/manga one piece was already well over 500 chapters in, so it felt too big to get into, 15 years later it's even bigger and I'd decided that I could get by without reading it. Then early reviews for this seemed pretty good so figured I'd give it a shot.
So as a fan of anime & manga I really enjoyed it - I can really get a sense for why One Piece fans love it so much.
Additionally, I've now watched lots of different CZcamsrs giving their two cents on the series, and overall people seem to like it, but what's interesting is there no real consensus on what's does and doesn't work - like you didn't really vibe with Zoro, for some others think that it's a really interesting change that really worked with the adaptation. Some found Kuro to be perfect and others thought it was really Cheesy. Some hated Garp being used so early and one even complained that it skilled a twist for some of their friends who are reading One Piece but not up to date, and thought that watching this world be fine as it only covering the beginning, others thought it was a really efficient way to set up the Marines.
It really tells me that this adaptation hasn't made any decisions that are just wrong, it all works on some level it just depends on your own personal preference.
Anyone else catch the Bastion OST hiding in this video?
Glad to have found the channel, been digging the videos. 👍
The different types of lenses/filters/blur most likely were creative choices by the director. Every 2 episodes had a different director and hence a different style. They broke up the episodes into mini arcs and had a different director for each of them.
Dude, have you done a tour of your background, can't quite make it all out but it looks great!
The grandparents watched it. I was pretty shocked when they told me they liked it alot.
Zoro's introduction scene was from the scene in manga/ anime where zoro said that he once recruited by baroque work to be one of them. It doesn't have any scene and just a random story of zoro. And Live action used that story to make an introduction to zoro which is fvcking cool to me.
I just got my folks to binge the whole season and they rather enjoyed it! The music, sets and casting were all clutch.
Man's sleeping on speed racer 😮💨😭
I watched it in imax when it came out 🤷
its great, the character portrayal by actors grew on me throughout each episode; from 1st to last: zoro, usopp, luppy, nami, then sanji.
man, amazing vid
I really liked Zorro. Im absolutely ecstatic they left that nose on the cutting room floor.
As someone who is still in the alabasta arc right now so just ahead of where the show ends but knows enough about the broad strokes past where i am to get a lot of the references... i really liked it
Nah, I hate how the anime/manga community keeps saying we don't have good adaptations. We have very good anime/manga adaptations- more than a few actually available on Netflix, but what you're really asking is specifically BIG BUDGET LIVE ACTION SHONEN adaptations. Of those we haven't gotten a good one yet.
As a fan of the manga first, and anime in general, this was a fun time. Ultimately, I understand who this adaptation was for though, and that was an audience that is not receptive to manga/animation. There's alot of fun here for fans of the series, but there are many, many, people who cannot get into art and animation like they can with live action. These shows act as a bridge to a wider audience and lets more people experience these stories in a way they can enjoy. I hope that more projects of this nature have the level of care and dedication the One Piece adaptation did.
Ah man every time I hear that Bastion soundtrack in any video I am compelled to comment. So good 😆
I'm so bummed you didn't get to more one piece video's. magic of the east blue is one of my faves and loved the idea of continuing the series 😔
If you think Morgan’s jaw looked super goofy and cheap… how do you really think Usopp’s nose would come across???
I’ll start by saying Alita: Battle Angel was a pretty damn good adaption of GUNNM 😂 (Sorry, had to) But OPLA honestly makes me happy and excited for future projects of this nature. Having Oda on board and at the ready definitely helped out them on the right track. The crew themselves, aside from early Zoro, really embody how the crew came off initially. My fiancé isn’t a fan of One Piece per se, but has stated that this show is the best thing she’s seen in years which made me smile. I told her that I felt as though this was a teaser of sorts like testing the waters and I’m happy to hear that I’m not the only one that felt that way.
Ayoooo new Bonsai dropped!!!!
I was not a fan of One Piece until watching the live action. The energy of the show and characters is so fun
Loved this
I'm happy to hear some love for the live-action Kenshin movies. They aren't talked about enough.
I watched a bit of the Anime 10+ years ago, enjoyed it, then ran out of dubbed episodes (yes I'm a heathen), dropped it, and never picked it up again. I adored this adaptation especially Sanji, sorry /daddy/ Sanji, and I restarted the anime as a result. 10/10 for me.
also just noticed the visual metaphor with usopp and the popcorn, i thought it was weird that he just has a jar of popped corn on the boat but i forgot about the kitchen scene
What really disappointed me was how they butchered Nami's relationship with her village, especially Nojiko and Genzo. Them two not being a support for her all those years rub me the bad way, Nojiko's tattoo have no sentimental value now and Genzo has no meaningful connection with Nami, not even the pinwheel.
So you’re disappointed because Nami didn’t tell Nojiko and Genzo about her plan beforehand? 🫤
@@vanessaharrison4152 In the Manga Nojiko quickly catches up to Nami having something in mind. As for Genzo he's just another regular Joe in Nami's life here in the LA whereas in the Manga he is almost a father figure
@@Shohoku00 we know how close they are, whereas in the live action they don’t show much of the relationship. There wasn’t enough time to fit everything in. But while they didn’t show all of it, you could still tell how much they cared for each other. Hey love of my life, bonsai pop dropped another banger
I have loved watching the live action so far. My biggest take away is the pacing/some instances of the writing. I love what we got and am looking forward to more, but dang. I wish some moments had more time to breathe
Because of this adaptation I was able to get people into One Piece who would never have otherwise.
This was a great video I've watched a few episodes of the anime but I'm really enjoying the live action
My response when people liked it: Yeah its a good entry point into one piece.
My respond when people didn't like it: It simply can't portray the source material as well as the anime.
Play both sides and you always come out on top
The black and gold/brown outfit of zoro is one of the covers of manga too. And the producer said that all of their outfit was all hand made and from the manga covers or other drawn by Oda
Alita was a pretty solid adaptation. I’d count that as a win.
One secret to enjoying most other live action is to not have watched the original source material yet.
This is why I enjoyed AoT live action (the first one) I found it on a savefile by accident. watched it and learned that it was based on an anime.
Kenshin was good and all but then Kingdom, Alita, and Blade of the Immortal were already comparable to that, but then I digress.
One Piece was a rare W in terms of live action adaptations in series format. Surprisingly it was adapted very well and things never felt left off or out of place with all those rearrangements and omissions. Koby and Garp being introduced the way they were in this was a nice touch at least in terms of showing us the Marines perspective while Luffy gathers his core team. If this gets a second season I'm all aboard.
That street fighter 3rd strike music always gets me hype. That my favorite stage
And yes, Amen to the Daddy Sanji. The second we got that shirtless scene I had my fav. I haven't thirsted over an actor in ages.
You mention wanting Jango and Krieg, but imo there wasn't enough time as it is. They cut short Zoro and Usopp's backstories a lot and they suffered for it. I liked Koby and Helmeppo's story, but it was definitely a trade off. For Koby to shine, we had to take it from Usopp.
I think there will be a season 2 (just because based on reports it performed better than wendsday and stranger things season 4)
Oh that Nami music during that scene makes me teary rewatching it.
The advantage of having Oda overseeing vs miyamoto is that Oda’s profession requires you to know how to write. Where’s Miyamoto is well known to not even want story in his games more than the bare minimum.
I loved the live action! Amazing energy! Found Garp awesome whenever he was in the scene! and the score!!!!!
Season 2 confirmed! See you all in Logue Town! Hope we see Rooster in the background
That's Mr. Rooster to you! Show Mr. Luffy's number one fan the proper respect.
MY BOY REPRESENTING MEXICO
Im still super curious about what they're going to do next season when we start dealing with characters that are ridiculously tall like doflamingo
I know my man didn't forget Speed Racer exists in that opening statement, c'mon now. It's still the king of adaptations.
Each episode is 8 hours long?! Ain’t nobody got time for that!
very nice to hear mike's thoughts on this show I have not heard anyone argue for usopp's nose but hey he made a good argument
Jango came out as a cameo at Shells Town in a Wanted poster.
I've always imagined that the main reason Sanji joined prior to Arlong Park, was because he wanted to flirt with Nami
The show kicks ass!!! 🎉
Was watching this the other night, and my brother happens to start watching it with me. Mind you I was on episode 3 already, but he didn't care and was immediately engaged and hooked, and stuck around and binged the rest of the show with me. He isn't an anime fan whatsoever and had no idea what One Piece was. He's so hooked now and has become a huge fan of OP and now has interest in the anime now!
The One Piece Netflix show was my first exposure to One Piece (other than screenshots here and there in CZcams videos) and I am hyped a f!
Having never seen one piece, I legitimately enjoyed the live action. It felt like Pirates of the Caribbean with craziness of Spy Kids.
I laughed a lot, and ngl, I cried in some moments, specifically during Arlong Park.
So, yeah, I'd say it broke the curse. I hate Dragon Ball Evolution even more now because of it. 😂
35:31 Davey Jones is probably why they didn’t want to do a squid octopus guy.
Is it just the lighting, ...or are you blazed af in this vid? LOL
Never read the manga, and never watched the anime, but being a fan of the medium(s) I have been aware of One Piece for a long long time. I loved the show. Always great to see your videos!
