Great video. Very informative. I buy Rolex watches I like, but it is good to know what the realistic price is to be paying for them. Some of the grey market prices are ridiculous.
When I was starting my watch collecting journey, I want to collect all of the Rolex models because I thought every one of them is valuable. This is the *PERFECT* guide for all the valuable Rolex. I’m definitely taking notes.

Most telling comment is that the market “was the hottest it has ever been” twelve months before this video. Market has taken a fairly big hit since then. Buy a watch you (a) can afford; (b) you will wear; and (c) you will not be thinking of an investment. Currently wearing a yellow and gold Datejust I bought 40 years ago in Paris for $1,300 from an authorized dealer. Although it is probably worth much more today, I really don’t care. Will give it to one of my sons.

Does somebody know if there’s any physical difference between a 2008 milgauss black dial and a 2022 version? Looking to buy one for myself to wear. The 2008 is around 10k and 2022 around 12.5k euro’s
No differences- apart from the introduction of the z-blue dial in 2014, the 116400 remained the same

Great video 🙏 I love the Yachtmaster Everose Oysterflex with pave diamond dial. I received the call from the Rolex AD & went into the store to purchase at £39,250 for the 40mm ⌚️. On the way, I called a watch dealer who warned me about the huge potential loss, should I want to trade. 😱
They’re quite a rare piece and look amazing but as you know the high retail price isn’t great news if you plan on selling it
You did mention Explorer 1, such a perfect field watch but it seems people ignore it :(

My favorite is the Mother of Pearl Datejust 41 diamond dial. Rolex quietly discontinued it a couple months ago, and an average of 7 dials are broken before Rolex gets it right. One of the only completely hand made dials with hand set dials. The fact that it's retail-ish is mind blowing.
Pave diamond dials, Mother of Pearl, and meteorite dials are hand made.

I wanted my sister to get that watch. You’re right, incredible piece. But she went with a 41mm rose gold jubilee Wimbledon dial with fluted bezel instead, which is still a magnificent watch to own and insanely difficult to find. And just fyi: ALL Rolex gem set dials are handmade and constructed of solid 18k gold instead of brass. 😉

I’ve been interested in the Falcon Eye dial Yacht Master since it was released and almost two years later I’ve still been unable to find one ANYWHERE. Not even pre-owned. And I’ve looked everywhere, from Mexico City to L.A. to Miami. It’s barely seen on freaking CZcams at this point. I think that reference is going to be worth a shit ton of money in 25 years.
I recommend you do review on secondary market price for the following brands:
IWC, Cartier, Jacob n Co; Ming, Greubel Forsey, FP Journe, MBnF; JLC, Blancpain, Hublot Naoya Hida… these brands once was waiting list for serious buyers
