Watching in slo-mo, you can actually see the throttle input and how fast george was reacting. Throttle was closed before Blazer even hit the hitch, and it kept rising, and throttle was back open on the drop to try to catch it, but it just couldn't do it to save itself. Good reaction time, George, nothing could be done..

I wasn't a George fan early on, not that I disliked him or anything but wasn't my cup of tea. Now that he's getting confidence I actually really like him. I agree that nothing could have been done differently. I'm sure Cleetus could have done something a little better if he was behind the wheel, but honestly not by much. I mean hell in the blink of an eye the back wheels were OFF the ground like you said.
Not hard to notice when the engine is as loud as a promod.
Really Surprised Cleet didn’t atleast acknowledge that George did everything right, it definitely would have helped George’s confidence being reassured that practically no one could’ve done any better given the circumstances. George’s confused processing was pretty evident.
Also I understand James has experience with the all four leaving the ground but as mentioned, he initially rolls out. meaning the wheelie is slower and there’s more time to correct it or minimise damage. Yet James has still totalled his fair share of vehicles doing wheelies

Cleet has minimal experience with wheelies (don’t think I’ve seen lift a tyre even 2feet off the ground) and practically no experience dragging the bumper let alone getting all four off the ground.

He does indeed. Tha Blazer's 'his boy' even though it belongs to Garrett and he wants it to do good. The wheelstands make for great content and if they're just screw'n around George is all for the wheelstands BUT on that night all the stars were aligned,, the Blazer and George were up to it, he and all the Cleetus team wanted to see it bust that 8:5 (something) pass. Now it's broke again and he'll have to wait for another almost perfect evening to get that pass in the Blazer history books. We feel bad for him AND for 'his boy' tha Blazer.
If any of them actually cared for that blazer they would of put wheelie bars on it so it just lifts the front tires maybe 3 inches if that depending on how you set them up. They destroy it for views because “everyone loves seeing wheelies” every car they have they break make half a pass and call it good

Might be a good idea to put a wheelie bar on the blazer considering how much the blazer likes to do wheelies. Hopefully this will minimize the amount of damage in the future.

If you watch the setup for the launch, it jolts forward and then back before it launches putting the center of gravity just a little higher than its used to. In other words it launched on a bounce which didn't help.
Rocky is trying to be like Stubby Bob from Roadkill!
If the Blazer keeps doing wheelies, can you guys mount shocks on the front end to cushion the landing? Find how much travel is available, divide that by two, and have two shocks (One on each corner) contact the track to absorb some impact. (If the suspension can compress four inches more while it is sitting still, set the shocks to make contact with the track once the suspension has compressed two inches) I believe I have seen this done in tractor pulling.

George's class doesn't allow wheelie bars
He would end up getting put in a much harder class
it's a bad idea to use a wheelie bar on a radial, what happens is the bars hit and unload the radials and they do all sorts of wild things, This shouldn't of happened in the first place.
Just needs a hitch attachment with a wheel on it.
Time for a wheelie bar hahaha. A bit shoutout to Cleeter for for understanding this is just part of racing and giving Georgie the support to know its not his fault. First thing he was worried about was Georges safety and that's admirable. I know George feels terrible when the Blazer doesn't launch right and breaks parts but Cleeter doesn't make anyone feel bad about stuff breaking because he knows it is just the name of the game.

yup, watched it at slow mo and you see him get out of it about half way up the wheelie, and then when he tried peddling, he was flying like you said, so it did nothing, he let off, then as it came down he tried to get onto it to save the fall, but it smashed down and then jumped up again before he let off completely. thats insane that it all happened in like 1.5 seconds
