Hey Marty! Im a Storm Chaser for a news organization out of Oklahoma City, I was lucky enough last year to get a small role in th film as a storm chaser. (Spot me in the camouflage pancho and green backwards hat standing behind the red doge when we shout, "chase it!". This is a movie set in the same universe as the first twister. New storm chasers, new story. Modern chasing tactics. It's going to be a hell of a ride

The makers claims it’s not a remake or sequel but everything in the trailer screams remake including the title as they just added the s.
Yeah, exactly Doug! It's kinda odd for them to say it's not either, as like you said it's pretty obviously a remake of sorts. It looks to be taking quite a lot of the story from the original and just re-hashing and adding a few things. Honestly, I don't mind if they were to just say that. It looks great anyway and I love a disaster film.
I can imagine the team thinking, "Ooh, one more Twister, one more S! Boom, audiences fooled, brand new film. Roll on the money" 🤯
