Final Girl is a solo horror board game which is very thematic... and a bad dice roll can lead to a very brutal ending for your favorite character. Some people have claimed the game involves too much luck, but in my opinion there is a lot of strategy and mitigation that help bend the odds in your favor. If you're losing too often in Final girl, it might also be that you're forgetting about some easy-to-miss rules.

One other rule that is easy to miss and I had to check: The target only affects the killer's movement, not their attack. If for some reason the killer's target is on the other side of the board, they can still attack people if the shortest path to their target would see them finish on a square with victims.

Excellent summary. I've forgotten #6 most plays, especially the fact that it applies to the killer's health status too. (Never remembered that part.)

Another rule that I missed on my first play; you can only escort two victims at once and they will not follow you into the killer's space.
