  • Hi everyone! In this video, we talk about the basic difference between gas hob vs gas stove regular.
P.S. one important point missed in the video: Hob Vs Cooktop.
Cooktop mostly doesn't need an electric or battery-powered Lighter for igniting the burner.
HOB needs either Current from a socket or a Battery depending on the model.
So if you are planning a HOB check if it needs an electrical point below the counter.

Hob needs current only if you wish to ignite it with the knob itself, else it can be operated with simple lighter as well..

Perfect video. Made decision by taking views from
    People who
Are using hobs, everyone was like go
For Cooktop, hobs are of no use for
Indian cooking, low flame, difficult to clean, once altered countertop cant go back, just a show off , Latest cooktops with modern design are far better. Very nice explanation:-). Would like to see a video on GTPT for utensils for modular kitchen.
And for kitchen material Mica, Acrylic sheet, Polyester PU, lacquered Glass

    Hi Niharika
I have a practical question about the cook top. Which brand is the best with low maintenance? We have genuine problem about the knobs, which go bad in no time ....Either they loosen or get very stiff to turn. Our kitchen is managed by house help mostly ....So which brand of cook top would you recommend based on your experience....

Simple, for Indian cooking go for cooktop, hobs are not meant for Indian style cooking where spillage and spluttering is high. Also, we Indians tend to wash our countertops very frequently, so hobs do not work and are impractical. Just as a show piece hobs are good.

Generally for Hobs the cutting of the kitchen counter is an issue. If not done by a skilled person, the Hob becomes shaky and the gasket is not always that effective. If you are old school, cooktop is the best.

Just sharing my experience with the Elica Vetro Gas Stove (Model: 773 CT DT VETRO). If you decide to install it yourself, be aware that the warranty becomes void. To maintain a valid warranty, you'll need to opt for a professional installation from the company, but it's not free - charges apply.
Even with the company installation, there's a catch. If anything goes wrong, you're looking at additional costs for visit charges and parts. It makes the touted 2-year warranty seem more like a myth.

Hi... What is the difference between full brass and half brass burners. Is there any major problem in buying brass burners but below part is aluminium

Cooktop or Hobtop is well suited and better for Indian Cooking and cleaning style... Also provides great flexibility and costs less money with no maintenance... Form follows function & modern day cooktops looks good too so it's a clear choice for me.
