- This footage is all there is on my copy, it cuts off after the first promo which means there's no interview and apparently a second promo was shown afterwards which isn't here either.

How gorgeous is this song.
R.I.P. ALAN WHITE, 50 YEARS WITH YES…..WHAT A LEGACY!!!
It's the poem Spring by William Blake from Songs of Innocence to Alan White's music. I last heard this decades ago, I always loved it.
@@feanorian21maglor38
And beautifully put to music too. 👍
I remember when it came out, all the guys did a solo record as did Alan here. My Brother Dane was a huge Alan White fan, perhaps slightly more than Bill Bruford by a fraction. He was a drummer and he saved every dollar he could in 1976 to buy a full set of North Drums, although he added another floor tom a year later. to see this is an omage to my late brothers' lover for drums and YES
@TurnTimeTable How is life now?
Rest in peace Alan White, never forgotten.
Love this sound. Jon in full Olias mode and the quality is terrific.
Watching this is like being in a dream
This song is from the heavens
I met him back stage 3 times!!
A sweetheart and very friendly
Besides being one of my all time favorites
Rock in heaven with your band mates ✨
Peter Banks and Chris Squire .
Awaken , playing in background as I text.
Played it earlier 😃
For anyone who's wondering, it looks like Kenny Craddock on piano, Pete Kirtley on guitar, Colin Gibson on bass and Steve Gregory on flute/glock.
I was! Thank you! 😍
yes indeed thanks ! The solo albums from the 70's are incredible. How is it possible to be SO productive as to release the fantastic band albums plus such good solo ones. Wow.
Thanks for the precious rare video of this beautiful song which has been with me since it was out. It's really a pity that a lot of great songs just go unknown and unappreciated by the general listeners. Very few people would bother to pay attention to tracks on a solo album by a drummer. I still keep the original LP in perfect shape on my record shelves in a far-away island country named Taiwan.
Chikunliao, sorry if I spelled your name wrong, great to see a fan in Taiwan. I was there in 2017 for a wonderful visit. Just in Taipei area.
My thoughts exactly. Besides, some artist write hits to make the radio and therefore bring home the bacon. But their "deep tracks" can outshine the hit singles by a longshot. We miss you Alan and are so grateful for the years we had you;
And again, a truly lovely song from a wonderfully varied album of music. RIP Alan.
Rest in peace, Alan. Shine forever!
Beautiful track. I tear up when listening to such joyful, beutiful music. Jon sounds great as alway. RIP Alan as you were simply amazing. Steve. Rock on and you're still at it. Just a soothing few minutes of bliss to close your eyes and drift back to a more peaceful time in our lives. Well done by all. Loved it!
We needed more of Alan, this is just sweet
He passed away
Gracias por tu arte Alan, desde la otra punta del globo. te vamos a extrañar.
I bought this in 1975, and although I am an Alan White fan, this was the only song on Ramshackled I regularly played!
I miss those mid 1970's 3 YES RELAYER era tours with Patrick Moraz
( December '74, 75, 1976 stadium tour...)
same for me with Ramshackled
Best Yes' tour in their history. Relayer was definetely the album they played at their best
I agree completely! I really miss those years of incredible creativity from YES. I'll step back one tour earlier/album earlier to include the Tales era. Sadly I was too young to experience the Relayer era tours. In 1974 I was only 12 years old. I remember buying the 45 r.p.m. of Your Move/ I've Seen All Good People when it was released. I was 9 years old I believe and didn't have a clue! I just thought it was such a nice song and begged my mom to buy it for me. I thought the singing was done by a female actually. LOL. I felt the same way about the song Black Dog by Led Zeppelin. Got that 45 r.p.m. around the same time and though it was a girl singing. I was young, forgive me. So YES music was in my blood but it wasn't until 1976 that my passion for YES and prog music exploded. I was 14 and still was barred from going to the YES '76 tour here in Chicago with Peter Frampton. I can't fault my folks as they did at least allow me to buy the records, but had a strict rule of, age "16" to see rock concerts. I sure missed so many great shows. But this era of YES with Moraz was indeed one of my favorites.
The band doesn't (didn't) miss Moraz's playing.
Me too. Loved this track and Relayer
sad news today. Alan pasa away. Thank Alan for your energy and sound y the music. Love and peace forever. God bless your very Kind soul.
This just looks like a thoroughly pleasant place to be.
until you smell the gas from the keyboardist
Yes, that is true. But being a fan of metal as well, never been a big fan of sausage parties. Not one female in sight, sadly.
that music transports you to another time that was happier 🤔😞
A real jewel, incredible video!
Such a great song I haven't heard in a long time. Need to get it out and play again!
wow !! the drums of Alan is my desire object..the design is incredible !!
Wow.... forgot about this album ..... now I need to go dig out RAMSHACKLED ...... Thanks for posting this !!
OMG Thank you so much ! I'm waiting for a good copy of this promo for so long. Thanks and peace to you.
Thanks so much for uploading this. Only had a very bad quality version of this before!
Interesting, never saw this lineup before. Alan playing North drums and Jon smoking a cigarette.
I'm sure you already know but this was Alan's solo band that recorded his album "Ramshackled". Jon and Steve only played on this song.
North Drums! An idea whose time came - and went. Colin Gibson on bass, Kenny Craddock on piano, and I think that's John Hackett on flute?..
Remembering seeing that on OGWT!
This is so cool and different...!
WOW...this is a rare gem! I never knew of this and the fact this is here is special...even without the interview which would have been Monster! Thx for posting👍🏻
The interview and the second song didn't circulate for years but Barry Grey recently uploaded the full thing to his excellent channel!!
@@MrKayley10 THANK YOU! I just found it👍🏻
best quality ive seen of this
Thanks!
Was hoping to see the interview, but still enjoyed. Thanks.
El tiempo no perdona, se están llenado los mejores, recuerdo cuando supe de él, el primer disco que compré de Yes, relayer
ho man!!
Those north drums!!!!! Alan is the king!
RIP Alan White 😭
Great group and great lineup 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Gracias por esta obra!!!
epoca de oro, musica brillante
Love this
JESUS SANG IN A ROCK BAND!!?
Unknown years of Jesus...waa
Lovely song.......
RIP Alan!!!!
Great picture quality. Thank you.
thank you 4 posting!
hilarious to see jon anderson with his angelical voice holding a cigarette..
I was wondering - a joint, but I guess timing off 😉
Good song. Side note: Jon has always looked better without the beard and mustache
What I like about seeing Jon in his beard/mustache period is that it means the Relayer tour and Olias Of Sunhillow. Such unbelievably great music. Of course the music was also great during his non beard/mustache days back then.
This is so cool
Great...thanks for share
Jon sings William Blake! I'd love to hear him sing an album of William Blake settings.
Alan didn't write any of the music on Ramshackled, just played drums. It's his album because he paid for it.
@@howardbianchi9371 the guitarist here (Pete Kirtley) set Blake's poem to music.
that very nice tank you for the post
You guys!!!! I have to get to work.
RIP Alan White
I’m lucky to have found this album in vinyl at a music store, only $2. Song just feels like a miracle and it sure brought me a lot of holiness, taught me even about lust I can say, to be sanctioned in righteousness/follow heart idk what it is
If there's a Yes re-Union, they should drop "Roundabout" and do this instead.
Beautiful song ! I didn't know it was his.
R.I.P. ALAN
I came here in memory of him, too.
I forgot this album existed .
rip Alan
Одни барабаны чего стоят.....Супер!!!!
Nice!
RIP Alan White.
Best track on Ramshackled. Nice to see Steve playing steel too
01:56 Jon, quit it, your smoke is disturbing Steve!
Ha ha good eyes! This song is beautiful!
Many things disturb Steve 😅
Steve, smoked too
Helluva track
Rip.......Alan.
🙏 ✌ ❤ 🎶 🌎 👏 Alan
R.I.P.
Wow ! Much better video quality !
Great track, rip AW
I had all the solo albums, but I only had Ramshacked on 8 track used. I didn't like much of the songs except this one. But my friend who was into Metal thought this was the best of the solo albums. So I figure it's good but not my cup of tea. It's hard to not expect prog, or jazz and back then I wasn't into Reggae at all.
RIP Alan
I think I have never seen Jon's hands so still and not up in the air waving around ! I guess the cigarette does the trick but it needs to go!!
Must be a well rolled joint judging by the music
Must be a tight doobie judging by the music
This album is way better than its reputation. Yes, there are 3-4 naff songs but the rest of it is pretty good.
move the ash tray closer
Who is the announcer at the beginning or from what show was this?
what a creepy smile the host has! Does the bassist really need a winter coat on? Awesome vid- a little treasure!
Hey, is there a way to contact you?
You just did haha
@@MrKayley10 ;) I mean like an email adress or something. I have a question about this upload.

@@MrKayley10 Thanks. I've sent you an email :)
@@MrKayley10 you mentioned a second performance on Barry Grey's youtube page. Do you have a direct link to it? I searched, but only found this same one that you have posted here. Thanks!
Sounds a little like Dont take the girl by Tim Magraw
Squire is playing slide???
Steve Howe...
After listening to this I feel as if I have been neutered.......
It definitely isn't "cock rock", that's for sure.
@@247snowflake in a certain sense it is cock rock . Jon Anderson sings the word cock in this song.
You have to accept what it's giving you. You can always get what you're already looking for somewhere else.
Is that Squire’s buddy Andrew Jackman on the piano!
Can anyone name the other musicians. I know SH, JA and AW.
1976 what a year Ireland was like Ibiza summer of a millennium not since the dinosaurs no kidding actually HOT every day for a season NO KIDDING
まったく知らないし彼ららしからぬので仰天。
La cuernobataca de White!!! jajajaja!!
Who invited Bob Dylan? How does he show up everywhere?
Just watched a YES vid with bruford and, not to detract from bruford, Alan Whites skill, speed, power wins in my musical mind. Plus, he plays real skins, not electrical junk that a critical ear can hear.
So 70's with the long hair and bad outfits....
not so bad !
At least they were trying. In the wake of grunge, it seems like we think beauty is a bad thing.
Did Alan write this? I doubt it. He was a good drummer but only there cos BB bailed
I love all aspects of Yes, including the ethereal parts, and Alan White is one of my fave drummers. But this is simply boring.
Thanks!!!!
