I'm 45 and exactly the same. Heard this for the first time on a Scott Bond essential mix and it's been in my top 10 ever since. Scott Bond has a lot to answer for actually, his essential mixes have had a big impact on me.
What a thing of beauty.... It's been decades since I last played this out, and the memories are sweet, but this tune hits the nostalgia button hard, and the loss of so much and so many, brings tears to my 60-year-old eyes now...... Big love to everyone that knows.

this track deservedly got into the collection on three discs "100 best trance anthems ever"! this old school track never eats up, time flies, and the track plays in my headphones, but there is no one around to listen to it together. perhaps this is music to listen to alone..
To some extent, yes, undoubtely, the breakdown is so introspective, the melodies and pads and sounds so nostalgic, a soul journey! Having siad that I managed to heard it on a club setting one or twice (maybe a bit more times) back in the day. It's a weird track cause progressive house dj's were already spinning darker, tribal music back then, while this has the classic nostalgic trance vibe (without the overpowering beats, much more subdued, almost like an "electronic ballad") that they were trying to left behind. Kudos to Jimmy Van M for including this in his Bedrock mix!
2023. I remember this being played at mambo when I worked in ibiza in 2001. Went down for the sunset. If you want to kow what ibiza was like in 2001 .close your eyes sit back and listen. Class tune . Timeless

@marcdeszp Dash Berlin's was terrible - was late on the scene and was a total cash grab. Buuren's version actually had something to offer, so I don't agree with that particular assessment.
