I have used this flush in my 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid since 2018. I use the flush every oil change with no problems. (2-3 changes/year) This car would burn a lot of oil otherwise due to the poor piston ring design. I also use the Amsoil Upper Cylinder Lubricant every gas tank full. I think of this as my piston ring maintenance program. This is my defence against repair and vehicle replacement expense.

Valvoline is releasing Restore & Protect motor oil shortly. It's promising complete piston cleaning in 4 oil change intervals, so figure 12,000-20,000 miles. Hope it works as advertised. A Berryman's B12 ring flush followed by Restore & Protect might be the fast tract to stop oil usage on cars that don't yet have damaged cylinder walls.

@@repairvehicle The Berryman's B12 ring flush does, at least sometimes. I did it once on a '17 Q3 that was burning 2 qts in 400 miles with 2 cans of non-aersol B12 through the rings over 40hrs, rotating the engine with a wrench occasionally. After the flush and oil change, no oil needed to be added in 1400 miles. The oil separator was bad and changing the separator lowered the crankcase vacuum but didn't lower the oil consumption. The flush made a huge difference. I wish I had better detail but the woman who owns the car isn't reliable to show up when she says she will. You make very good videos and seem to be a very good observant guy, and I understand your doubt, but this absolutely works in some situations.

According to the Amsoil it is safe to be used every oil change.
      “Directions for Use
Though it works in one treatment, AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush is safe enough to be used at every oil change
Engine: Add entire bottle of AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush to engine oil fill port. Idle the engine for 10-15 minutes, then immediately drain the oil. Ensure enough time for the system to completely
drain. Remove and replace the engine oil filter. Refill engine with new engine oil in the viscosity grade recommended by the manufacturer.”

@repairvehicle something crossed my mind about these clogged oil ring issues. What if you pulled all the plugs poured a cup of the flush into the clyinders then hand cranked the engine a couple cycles to work it in the rings. Top off the cylinders off with the flush let it sit 24 to 48 hours with the spark plugs out the whole time. The evacuate the flush from the combustion chambers so you don't hydrolock. Throw the sparkplugs back In do a powerfoam and pi and flush the engine oil change filter and oil and see if oil consumption is better. What do you think?

I know they have oil consumption problems due to lack of maintenance. Many people believe that because it’s newer it requires less oil change. But with fuel dilution, oil changes should be more frequent than people think because diluted oil with gasoline becomes out of specification around 3k miles or less and cause a excessive wear and build up of carbon. Direct injection is a cancer in modern engines.
