The Narrows is particularly prone to flash flooding when there is bad rain-we only hiked the first mile or so-about 5PM then turned around and left the park and there was bad rain that night and some hikers were drowned who were on the Narrows-so just a caution-keep an eye on the weather-especially if you are camping on the trail!
We are from the East Coast and did a road trip on the motorcycle in 2015. Went to the Grand Canyon Cliffdwellers lodge Zion cedar city Bryce Canyon. There’s a little restaurant in Marysvale just north of Bryce. From there we went to Salt Lake City Jackson Wyoming up to Yellowstone and back to Jackson again. What an awesome trip. Enjoy your journey.

Great fun! We would wear the equipment most likely, extra protection number 1 for us.
BTW, the lady was NOT kidding, Mountain Lions are roaming. No bears, Yippee!

Great video. If you have the time, perhaps next time you could do the 16 mile down the river hike. Yes, it is long but it is spectacular. Take the shuttle to Chamberlin ranch and start walking where the river is a small creek and no sandstone cliffs tower above you. It is incredible to watch the canyon walls seemingly form around you as you move down the river. Best time is in May or June before the summer thunderstorms. It is a journey you will always remember. I am returning next year for my 4th trip down as it never gets old. Yes, you will enjoy this journey!
I'd go with the equipment. Safety gear is always a plus.

Learned about the Narrows last year from a movie I watched on Netflix and it immediately went on my bucket list. Made the hike a month ago and it did not disappoint! I only wore shorts and hiking boots and I used my own walking sticks. Super grateful I had two sticks as it was very slippery. I recommend drinking water and dry shoes for the (long) walk back to the shuttle.

We used our own good water shoes and our own neoprene socks and our own hiking sticks. We were there in early June 2020 and just wore shorts and long sleeve SPF shirts. We also had a water proof bag for camera equipment. It was a great hike! Zion is amazing!

They had to close the narrows earlier today due to flash flooding in the area. They recieved an inch of rain in an hour.

I’ve hiked it a number of times as I am from Vegas. I use Keen water shoes along with a swimming suit. I’ve not ever used a stick. It is always fun especially on a summer day . Glad you guys went and had an awesome time. Zion is my favorite park it is beautiful and it has the best of both worlds, water and desert. Love your show.

Awesome and fun! I hiked the Narrows 3 yrs ago and Bryce Canyon 2 weeks ago. I'm super excited to be taking my husband back for his first Narrows hike this weekend! After watching your adventure I think we may go later in the day.

I wouldn't do the hike, but so glad you guys did.
My family did the Narrows hike back in the mid 70's. It must have been later in the year as there was no where near that much water in the river. We hiked to the very narrow. My dad could almost touch each side of the canyon. My sister and I standing side by side with arms outstretched could touch one side each.
We didn't have any special equipment.
I would say that Zion was one of my favorite national parks. I have never been to Yosemite tho
Yes Tom your right they did in Victoria Australia, at a place call the 12 apostles, it was at London Bridge, they walk out had a picnic and were going back when it fell into the water, there was a helicopter that saw it all it took 3 hours for them to get off ! I don’t know if there is any video of what happened, but it’s a wonderful place to visit, enjoy the videos enjoy guys ! Oh I have gone there on a jet ski and it’s really wonderful to see the 12 apostles

My daughter and I went to Zion last summer but didn’t do any hikes and was so crowded. Now we are going after Xmas and have already reserved our gear and so anxious to do The Narrows.
These are awesome places. I haven’t been to Zion, but I have been to Canyon-lands, and Arches National Park. I love your video effects.
Went to Zion a few years ago. Too much beauty to not go bad and explore more. It is still on the bucket list. Also went on short trips to Arches, Bryce and Canyonlands. Utah has soooooo much to offer. Would definitely get the equipment, too.

I always hike or walk with a walking stick!!! Yes, there are mountain lion"s" yes they travel in packs!!!
Im a scuba diver, so when I finally get my RV, I will be buying a new wetsuit & booties. Youd stay warm in a 3/8ths (inch)suit or better, I could get wet, stay warm & dry out quit!! If I used their suits, I'd get too hot!
Beautiful place! We were just there but unfortunately we couldn’t go into the water due to the Cyanobacteria bloom a few weeks back. Loved the views!

Great review of the Narrows. Did the boots have felt, spiked or rubber soles? Have my waders already just need to know if felt soles work well. I will be there later this year. Looking forward to seeing/doing what you have done there. What fun!
I just did the Narrows last week, June 24. I did not use any gear, and the water temperature was fine. I just used regular running shoes and socks. I did not use a Walkingstick as I had to carry my 360 camera. I’ll be releasing my video on my channel in the next week or so. Glad you guys had a great time. I really enjoyed it as well.

I did hike the Narrows in July many years ago but I was in a bikini and water shoes. Yes the water was very cold but it was 113°. I LOVE the Narrows ♥️
Yes, there are mountain lions.
I enjoyed Zion, but I didn’t enjoy hiking through the Narrows. We went in June, so it was pretty warm, but we went early so not a lot of people which was great, but water was very cold! I also felt like you couldn’t enjoy the view b/c you’re so focused on not slipping. Beautiful scenery, but hike was not safe, even with proper shoes and walking stuck. Wouldn’t recommend. Or maybe just try it for a short period and avoid the unnecessary risk. Enjoy the journey.
Hi guys! Thanks for the great content as always! we are heading to Utah in April for a month or more and re-watching all your Utah videos. We pinned the Boondocking places, thanks! And thanks for all the info we are definitely going to rent the gear. We just got back from the Everglades and we went on two wet walks which I highly highly recommend Everglades national park for a week! We did 11 nights and could have used more! Anyway sorry off-topic lol but it was much warmer water for sure will rent equipment. Just wondering did you guys stay dry with the bibs? Some say they have gotten wet and glad they wore shorts underneath. And most important question lol, I know they tell you you can go number 1 in the river but how do you do that with the wet suit if trying to stay dry? Or are there places to get out and go in woods? Just curious if you have any suggestions. By the way when we were googling your Boondocking spot it sure looks like the aerial view was of your camper and Jeep! Check it out on Google maps if you didn’t know. it was pretty cool I was going to email it to you! You have to let me know if it is, that would be so cool! What Timing! We might also rent some bikes from those guys, I think it would be too long to ride our bikes to the Narrows. Thanks again! Hope all is

I know this is a weird question, but on the Lectric bikes, when fully extended and pushed length wise against each other facing opposite directions, could they fit on a 30” wide base? I can’t get this answer from Lectric bikes. My hitch platform is 50”L x 30” wide and I’d like to know if two bikes will fit. Thanks.
Lectric Bike question: Do you use the lock from the company to lock your bikes or do you add an extra lock for safety keeping when you have to leave them?

Either way, I've been hoping you'd roll through my Maverik station in Reno sometime. I've seen both a Momentum and an electric blue Jeep roll through within the last week, but not at the same time and with no kayaks or cameras. I'm guessing y'all won't be making it this way anytime soon anyways (I mean, c'mon - it's Reno 😆). It would be kinda neat if y'all did though.

Anyone think a kid could do the Narrows? I have an 8 year old and we'll be at Zion National Park late July. We'll only be at the park for a day as we're traveling multiple states. But I really wanna go to the narrows so bad

No. Much of it is not deep enough to kayak.

Love your videos, but this one has a bit to many graphics that make you kind of dizzy when you watch. Please don’t take it the wrong way, just sharing a viewers prospective.

Have to disagree with you on that one Michele. Refreshing to find a channel with some impressive editing and not people constantly talking to the camera for minutes on end, keeps me at the edge of my seat!
Low quality videos are all over CZcams. Love to see that prober content is still out there. Part of the reason why I subscribed, but to each they’re own I guess.
I agree. I actually had to cut it off before it was finished because I’m afraid all of the transitions and spinning and super fast transitions were going to trigger a migraine.
You’re getting some epic sites now. But the special effects are really not good, more stomach churning and disorienting than anything.
I don’t know who’s doing the edit but your channel has went way downhill it’s like someone young is doing it and it just doesn’t go with your Channel. You are older and not 12 years old. I would definitely reevaluate song choices video quality just not what it used to be it’s pretty obvious someone new is editing these videos. And if you’re paying them money you really need to think that through specially if you use to edit the video yourself you did a better job. The transitions between videos are just not right please hire somebody else or go back to whoever used to do your video editing or have this person learn from their mistakes and correct their mistakes quickly before your channel goes downhill.
