@@zero7329 Hahaha i'm glad. Where i live a lot of adults actually still have scene hair and sometimes make up. It's like almost an entire generation. So nobodys really shocked when seeing a mom pick up her kids from kindergarten with a heavily pierced face, bright blue or red hair and raccoon eye shadow. I think the ones that care the least are elderly people who probably are their parents or have/had kids like that on their own. They must be so done with them at this point. If anything younger kids are always suprised i guess.

@@sakareeh as far as I know, lazy eye is a genetic defect or can be inherited genetically, idk if it just forms out of nowhere. Maybe her parents had a lazy eye and passed it onto her and it only became visible because of the scene kid hair (the only way to get rid of a lazy eye is either through surgery or covering the non lazy eye as a kid/teen, if that makes sense). Maybe she covered her lazy eye and it deteriorated from there much faster? I'm also saying this as someone who is diagnosed with a genetic-based lazy eye since wayyy back in elementary.
@@sakareeh I had to wear an eyepatch for almost a year as a kid (don't get oven cleaner in your eye not fun) and it def messed up my other eye. I developed astigmatism in the undamaged eye from eyestrain as it was overcompensating for the other not being used. I guess something similar happened because it blocked her vision.

I grew up as a teen in this era and it was so fun. We didn't use our phones like it was today, so being in school ALL day without any sort of social media was truly an experience. As soon as the bell rang, everyone just wants to go home so we can get on myspace and chat with our online friends, do bulletin tags, code our website, take a new photo, add an emo ass quote, see who's top 8 you made it into 😂. It connected you to so many people. Emo scene kids always felt alone at their own schools so then actually meeting up with online friends was so so fun, something you waited for all week.. weeks even. Watch a concert, even just mtv, cut our hair (or clothes) lol or even just to loiter at the mall. It was simple stuff.
Also the style was pretty simple. Ppl thought it took us forever to get ready and yes thats true. Hair took an hour but clothes was easy like 5 mins lol. Just needed a ton of bracelets, bonus if you had the D.A.R.E. bands lol. leggings or tight skinny jeans, long tank top that covers your butt, layered under a band tee which you covered up with a black jacket and wore this all with ballet flats or a pair of chucks.

Because throughout the mid to late 2000's that website was WHITE HOT and even if you didn't have Myspace, you could not escape Myspace.
I remember trying to delete my myspace account, it took almost a month because it kept asking "are you sure?" Then I got stalked by myspace asking my to start the account back up
Sounds like me when I deleted my Facebook on my birthday this year. Wanted to go out with a bang, left a cute final message (probably the fifth one in eight years) and then hit "Delete". Except then they rained on my parade that it would take 30 days to delete it. Well crap, so much for leaving on a high note! And I accidentally signed back in to see any final replies and that restarted the counter. I finally just contented myself with knowing I'd given anyone who mattered an alternate way to contact me (of which they haven't, lol! More the reason to delete it) and let the account go. So long and goodnight.

@@satinimage1577 A myriad of reasons, I suppose. I prefer anonymity with social media but moreover, I just don't use social media a lot. CZcams is probably the most social media I use. Also, the people that were on my friends list were people from high school whom I was no longer friends with. We grew up and grew apart, as is life. Getting birthday notifications all the time from people I used to be friends with became a thing of anxiety and I hated having to follow social media decorum of telling someone you don't know or you're no longer close with "Happy birthday!" only because the website beat you over the head with the notifications. You often become friends with people in school mainly because you're in the same classes, and maybe you share a few interests but then school ends and you find that the bonds that kept you as friends were actually pretty thin. Of course this isn't everyone (and more power to you if your friendship lasts the college years) but I realized that continuing to be friends with the people from school meant continuing to only present a sliver of myself.
Similarly, my family made up a large portion of my friends list on there too and my viewpoints and theirs could clash if I were to go all-out with my opinions. So, considering I maybe made five posts in the span of having the account for 8 years, I realized I don't need a Facebook. In the very tiny event I ever create one again, it won't be with my real name or face. But, overall, I don't feel any need to have one. I got one because "it was the thing to do", not because I cared to really use it. A lesson in why you shouldn't just go with the crowd.
This bought me back to my middleschool scene phase. 😭
5:13 I have a lazy eye and I just want to say if you do cover your eye to the point you can't see and use it yes you could probably develop one. But I'm not a doctor and I don't really know. What I do know is that in my experience it tends to be a more hereditary thing.

I feel like E-girl is the new scene, since it's kinda like scene, but anime. I really want to do that with a wig though. I was never old enough for Myspace, but I do remember a lot of alternative fashion on Tumblr. I always admired it, but as a 12 year old, I wasn't allowed to do much. So layering shirts, side bangs with layers, and colourful hair elastics was pretty much all I was allowed to do. School uniforms made it hard, but I always had crazy socks, and bright elastics or funky watches around my wrist. And Crocs with way too many jibits...
