Spiritual practice requires of us a kind and devoted attention to the opening of the body as well as the heart. We cultivate the necessary space through a quieting of the mind, and invite a sense of compassion and openness into the heart. We can then listen to better understand how to become ourselves what we want the world to be.There is a profound offering in our commitment and dedication to becoming the most beautiful human beings that we can be. At the root of this offering is the desire to allow spiritual practice to be the tool with which we tend to the garden of the heart

Thank you for the wisdom. "In the garden of thy heart plant naught but the rose of love, and from the nightingale of affection and desire loosen not thy hold. Treasure the companionship of the righteous and eschew all fellowship with the ungodly." ~ Baha'u'llah, The Hidden Words

Thank you
it's the love and peace under the words
Jack is a wonderful teacher, and these recordings are helping through some difficult times. But I'm perplexed by the story of the woman in the airport with the bag of cookies, because it can be found in one of the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" books ( I forget which one), with only slight modification. What is going on here? I'm probably being ridiculous, but it bugs me!
I was wondering about the same thing. I am quick to give Jack the benefit of the doubt here. Maybe he just remembered the story wrong and or mixing two memories. Funny how in that very story he says that the mind is unreliable and it has no pride.
:)
Doesn't matter really! It's the lesson thst transcends{•¿•}
It’s all about the lesson in life!!!
Or MAYBE it's an old parabel ?
Jack is a collector and teller of stories. They are not original to him (though a few may be. ) They still make valuable points.
