- In the long-awaited first full episode of this Kirby fan-series, Gryll and Magolor meet for the first time and don't get the best impression of one another. ^^;
It's been an incredible journey making this, and this is only the beginning! I'd like to thank the voice actors again, and my storyboard pal Greytan, and everyone who showed their support for this project. You all keep me motivated to do my best!

Magolor broke a window within his first fifteen seconds. I approve.
I really enjoyed this; I find myself coming back to watch it, time and again.
I especially love how Magolor is portrayed in this; even if he IS a liar, he is an *extremely* powerful magic user, and NOT somebody you wanna mess with.
Which matches well with his charecter, a cunning liar even during the epilogue and a monster he destroyed the frekin master crown for crying out loud. But also I good friend to the people who he actually make good relationships with like kirby who he build an entire theme park for him and his friends but getting there to his good side is definitely not easy that's for sure

Gosh, this was so cool!! Artsy, you did an amazing job voice acting, the sheer range in emotion you displayed was so impressive, really inspires me to give it my all in the future! And, Doki, the animation absolutely dazzled me, there's some scenes here I've already been rewatching on loop, ESPECIALLY near the end. Not to mention the writing, the sound design, the music- you REALLY gave it your all and it shows! Thank you so much for making this series and letting us be a part of it, and thank you to Artsy, Carpy, and Lilly for being cool as hell and making me wanna try even harder with every recording we do! You've all been an absolute pleasure to work with and I look forward to the future of this series! ♡♡♡♡♡
It’s incredible how this blends animatic, comic dub, and full animation. It’s low fps, but it still manages to be smooth and expressive all the same. It’s a style I’ve never really seen before, and it really works!

I love the animation! I think it's so impressive how much movement and fluidness you can put into such low fps, and the backgrounds and artstyle look really pretty! Also, the voice acting is really good! I'd have never imagined Magolor sounding like that, but it works really well. Gryll's delivery is also spot on too. It's going to be so fun seeing these characters warm up to each other as the series goes on, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
Thanks for the kind comment! Honestly, when I first got the role, I was worried my voice wouldn't fit Magolor at all, but comments like this are more encouraging than you could ever know, I'm glad people still find my version of him convincing. Also, hard agree on Gryll's delivery, Artsy did a CRAZY good job, she's capable of showing such a wide array of emotion, it's really inspiring!

This is really good! So nice to see Gryll again too, and beefing with Magolor no less! Their characters are great, and the line delivery is fantastic too! I'd love to see more of this!

This was incredible, the expressions were really good ( 0:43 was my personal favorite), the dialogue and voice acting was superb, and the art was wonderful, this was very well put-together, great job!

Wow, this weekend has been full of great animation! It's been such a long time since this was announced, but you really didn't disappoint. Both characters already feel more detailed and expressive than typical gameplay (AND without going too far from their core), and I laughed pretty hard at the megacog. I'm quite excited to see how you continue!
P.S. The power play with summoning the book was a satisfying moment, but so was what happened on their assembly - can't decide which was better!
ngl a giant gear attack would be cool if we could ever play as magolor again, maybe up > down + b would be the buttons to summon it
The fact that the suspiciously colored butterfly donned a black outline just like the characters’ is making me just a wee bit unnerved
I recently saw it and it's amazing! I love the voice acting and animation, as well as your art style. I hope you get the support you deserve, this has a lot of potential! Keep it up!

alright, love this, you have perfectly encapsulated the personalities of these characters. the fact that Magalore's mittens changed to gloves when he got angry was so great, and it seems like you have done extremely well in the art. if i could animate on a consistent basis, i would offer help, but yeah, i can't really do that.
(edit: forgot to mention: Magalor's first attack sums him up perfectly.

OH MY GOSH THIS IS SO RAD!!!! I have been so hyped for the first episode to come out and it is awesome!! Gryll and Magolor interactions are so silly but it got really intense at the end. Also, the animation on this is REALLY good!!! The art style is really fun and kinda nostalgic tbh. Looking forward to more content with these guys!! :] ^^ oh ye and 5 more days until krtdld!!!!

it was interesting, the animation is great, the voices are perfect, AniMara you are fantastic !
(it's still crazy that he ended up in a fight just for a book, I can't imagine another one where Marx sets fire to a forest I'm just for a ball or kirby who attacks everyone for a cake)
Then again magalor may have books with spells that can destroy reality and he has learn to not go overboard with it and probably keeping the books for emergencies or just seal them away in his library in the lor
Good luck with that Gryll, not only magalor is very powerful (also I think putting a energy sphere the size of the lor's wings is a bit overkill but you do you) but he's also got a lot of friends and also a very familiar foe of yours. Also one more thing I have very high hopes for this series so good to you

I can't stop rewatching Episode one of Magical Friends it's so AMAZING! I sadly did not know about this project and even though it was released nine months ago, I still love it. I love the animation, there's a lot of positive things i can say about the animation but one of them has to do with the characters like Magolor being very angry and creepy and very much sneaky which the animation helps with the expressions and i like that Magolor have a mouth (sounds weird but i'll explain) I like how when Gryll says "Can borrow the books?..." he just screams 'NO!!!" and the way he talks about how Gryll wants to get into a fight with him in a creepy tone. The voice actors... OH MY GOD their PERFECT! I love Gryll's voice actor (i don't know what Gryll's actual personality is in the Kirby Series) But this personality fits Gryll, She can be sweet and caring but also an person who steals your stuff and ask to borrow something that they stole from you and her high temper which cause her to make moves that aren't the brightest like fighting Magolor even though he is way out of her skills, which in turn cost her house to be totaled by some big gear. Magolor voice is very amazing also and it fits, He is so grumpy (for understandable reasons but kinda weird if he did not read the books that Gryll stole from him) and like always Magolor is a little troll and a big trouble, like how he pretty much knock Gryll out and totaled her house without even caring and leaving her house in a poor state, which causes Gryll to get that scum if it's going to be the last thing she will ever do (like she said.) I love the comic and i can't wait for Episode 2 but I know now that animation takes a lot of time and plenty of money and hard work and I wish you all the best on this road! Stuff like this makes me want to try my own project, giving animation a try, and create my own story and maybe also having voice actors of my own (i know that is going to be for the future and i'm uncertain if i'm going to live, heck i am living in my uncertainty) but I hope i can create stories one day. I'm like 16 and i think i nailed down the personalities of the characters but i might have gotten something wrong. But yeah the Magical Friends is a Magical series and this animation and the comics shows why.
magolor,if you keep using only ONE TRICK to start and end every battle, you'll be quite predictable
Then again he could be doing this to trick his opponent, making them fall under one habit and strike them with another beacuse his portal abilities are extremely overpowered and should not be mess with

If magolor can create gigantic gears, why didn't he repair the lor starcutter??
That's probably beacuse he probably unlocked the spell after the lor got fix either that or he's using the energy spheres as a power source or a base like his sword. Also the gears are probably too big it's like the size of the wing
