- 34-year-old Maksim Poverenov is the lead architect with a major construction company. For some time, however, as he has not been coming up with any new and exciting plans, he has been acting as manager of the company's small staff of employees. Maksim has a fiancée, Tamara, but the truth is he is still in love with his first school romance, Larissa who did not have the patience to wait for his return from military service and married his best friend instead.
In the midst of an important deal Maksim learns that his beloved Larissa has died, and so he leaves for his home village to bid farewell to her. There he learns that he has a teenage daughter, Zhenia. Maksim decides to take her back to the city to live with him, because there is no future for her in the village. However, Zhenia does not relate well to her father or his fiancée, and, when she starts school, she cannot get on with her classmates and teachers either. Her life takes a rapid downward turn.
Desperate to help Zhenia, Maksim invites Victoria, her teacher and friend from the village school, to come to the city. Victoria is a wise and kind individual who soon finds a way of injecting a zest for life into the girl. But then, quite unexpectedly, Maksim starts to fall in love with Victoria. Suddenly he realises that, for all this time, his life has been going in the wrong direction and that he has always been surrounded by the wrong people and busy doing the wrong things. So Maksim makes a life-changing decision to drop everything to win the heart of the woman he really loves.

it's a nice movie actually, and the thing I love the most is, the woman Tamara is not even upset since she found her fiance has a daughter... unlike to women in Africa or East Africa if they found out my dear your finished.......... this is something to learn honestly
I think it is because Maxim had the daughter before he met Tamara. Would this upset women in Africa too? It's not that he had an affair, and to be fair he didn't know that himself.
Typically, us Russians, dont really care..we love kids, love big families and our lives are always like soap operas lmaooo I didnt find out about my biological father till I was 13..my family told me he was my uncle and when I turned 13, our neighbors told me the truth 🤣 ..my family hid the truth from me, trying to protect me..yeah, we are truly weird people ..

I am shocked that @25:13 they show them about to have sex. Then @25:23 you have a picture that makes an allusion to the male penis. The entire scenario is NOT APPROPRIATE FOR children under 18! Remember, aren't we so concerned about "the children" in Russia. Heaven forbid you see two people of the same sex holding hands. Yet straight people having sex is not a problem. I will remind you - it was part of the Russian tradition in the 80s for men to kiss each other on the lips when they greeted each other. This is Russian TRADITION.
