This isn’t a kids show. This was made for people who were kids when the original came out.
This show needs to win an Emmy for the writing alone. The dialogue is powerful. Bastion and Val’s monologues are ridiculously current to world events.
This is far from a kids show when you got deep plots and a holocaust tattoo on magneto
Xavier sees the world we could have. Magneto sees the world we have right now. Also, with Spiderman, Magneto's EMP destroyed his webshooters. You can see the web break before he backflips.
Right now we are in the darkest moment. Narratively perfect for Xavier's vision to bring light.
Hopefully, this time the message will be more directed toward neutral humans
I love how the show runner confirmed on twitter (New Rockstars mentioned it) that Magneto killed countless people with that EMP. Planes fell from the sky, people on life support died, nuclear power plants all over the world suddenly couldn't control the reactions so they went Chernobyl. So Wolverine was right, he really did declare war. I can't wait for the last two episodes.
Spidey's webshooter are mechanical, with no electronics in it. EMP will not disrupt it. The web line breaking is just an artist's discretion. After all, you can see it dissolving into nothingness, but we all know that Spidey's webbing will only dissolve after 1 hour has passed once it's discharged from his web cartridge and comes into contact with air. Besides, if it had broke all of a sudden and he was caught unaware, he would have ended up face planting on the roof. We've seen it happened so many times when someone like the Vulture or the Green Goblin cuts his web line while he's in mid-swing, even if his spider-sense was giving him advanced warning.
In other words, what we saw was just Spidey seeing the city go dark and willingly letting go of the web line at the apex of his swing, letting the web line fall to the ground.
No...he broke the webs and landed because the entire city light went out. This is not Tony Stark Spidey. Spiderman TAS have his regular web shooters. Batteries not required.

Here is Bastion in a nutshell. Man contracts virus. Man passes virus to unborn child. Unborn child grows up to become the Super Villain Bastion.
This. Nimrod infects regular janitor with tech. That tech is passed to the son thru regular pregnancy. Son grows up with the knowledge of Nimrod (who is from the future) to become BASTION.
cartoons like this show the big societal shift we've had since the 90s. Watching it when we were little we were like "of course magneto is the villain, we need to try to get along!". Now, after our government has failed us so many times, after we minorities have been pushed around so often, we look at it again and it's like.... Magneto was right.
I can’t believe how good this show is, great reaction Dads!!!!
They showed Bastion interspersing the transmission from space in the last episode
Bastion got the Shi'ar footage and leaked it to make the mutants look bad, that's how
A world size EMP would surprised everyone. World wide blackout. Spiderman web shooters. Technology. Airplanes. Hospitals. But magneto had to do it. Prime sentinels are dangerous
Now think how SHEILD and Tony Stark are reacting to that...Avengers vs X-Men is coming!
@@brianewing5778 that would be awesome. I what to see captain America "team"😁
Magneto did a EMP pulse at the North Pole.
The other cameos was showing the globe impact of Magneto declaration of War.
remember, Bastion got ahold of the transmission. check out the conversation he had with Sinister in episode 7.
I think the cameo appearances were just to show how world encompassing the new sentinel problem is
7:42 I just now noticed watching this particular reaction that Bastion’s mom turns that malfunctioning lamp on without touching it. Nice, but sad, foreshadowing.
9:28 My man Doctor Doom!!!!! Now this, puts a smile on my face 😌
MAGNETO WAS RIGHT
Nimrod went back in time in the episode One Mans Worth. Got destroyed by Bishop. The left over nano-goo that made up Nimrod, stayed back then. Crawled into a Janitor at the school and took over his body down to the genetic level. Janitor/Nimrod then got his wife pregnant which passed Nimrods nanobot infused self into Bastion. (Also the mom was in a different episode of the OG X-Men. She was a waitress in the episode that turned the X-Men in to the FoH.) This makes Bastion a 2/3's human and 1/3 Sentinel. Which therefore means, he's a mutant. Hope that helps, because the comic book version of his story is even more crazy than this. Believe it or not, this is the streamlined version of it.
They explained bastions existence fairly easy and showed u with pictures and everything
You guys had no reaction for them showing the inside of Nightcrawler’s BAMF. I’m surprised. I literally shouted “so cool” when it happened.
13:24 My man Wolverine!!!! 🙏🏽💪
How is this Season gonna end, are we gonna lose more characters? Let us know down below.
The origin of Bastion is far more complicated in the comics than in this series. In this series, it all happened when Nimrod was destroyed by Bishop in 1959 during the events of One Man's Worth from X-Men TAS Season 4. Part of Nimrod remained in that era after Bishop and the others had left and infected Bastion's father, who was a school janitor, probably working in the same college that Xavier was studying in. After that, everything happened just as seen in the flashback that Jean saw. So even though his origin is different from his comic counterpart, he's still fundamentally the same person with the same motivation, all the way down to the part where he's a product of both Nimrod and Master Mold.
Also, how is Jubilee's story a filler? It's an adaptation of a story from the comics. I feel like people these days are twisting the definition of the word and just using it for episodes that have nothing to do with the main story arc. If that's the case, then all of those standalone Wolverine and Beast episodes from the past seasons are going to have to be referred to as filler episodes, no matter how much character development they provide.
Spider-Man 98 has a stronger chance to actually happen just because of this cameo by him.
These bastards are going nuts with the choreo, that bamf with wolvie was totally wicked, they did Kurt justice. that's the scene i'll be thinking about when i think of Nightcrawler now : D
nimrod was a biblical figure reputed for his hunting skills. most people would know the name for bugs bunny's insult and see it only as such - but bugs was using it ironically to insult elmer fudd's hunting skills. close parallel would be sidling up to someone struggling with not being able to lift in the gym and calling them hercules.
Been waiting on u guys reaction this week.
We probably getting avengers vs X-men soon since magneto killed a bunch of humans with the emp hospitals and airplanes and car accidents
This is what happens when you let writers do their thing instead of giving in to fan service and capitulation
Magneto Was Right!
This is far from a kids show when you got deep plots and a holocaust tattoo on magneto
