Rahul Gandhi who is also the Indian Congress leader has several legal cases against him where the oldest case is reported to be in 2012 and he has been out and free on bail where the amount may be miniscule. Is this not a travesty of justice and possibly abuse of legal system.
If justice is to be served then action should be taken to bring a closure to the case where he will be acquitted if found innocent or sentenced to prison sentence and/or fined as provided in the laws.
There may be other politicians and from other sectors who may also have been free on bail for decades.
Cases similar to Rahul Gandhi may also exist in other countries where politicians and other elites may be free on token bail amounts for years or decades.
Common perception may be that such an abusive bail system will remain free and may benefit mainly those with power or connections to those in power and elites and high net worth individuals.
HOW LONG WILL SUCH ABUSE OF LEGAL SYSTEM BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE BY THOSE WHO TALK ABOUT RULE OF LAW AND JUSTICE AS IT MAY BE A WORLDWIDE DISEASE AND MAY INVOLVE SOME WHO MAY HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE CHANGES TO RELEVANT LAWS.
