- I went to the Iranian Carpet Exhibition and found the historical carpets there.
Many rugs that were more than 100 years old.
I found carpets that were ten times more expensive in the US and Europe!
The 28th edition of Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition, as a unique event in the field of Persian handmade carpet, will be held at Tehran’s Permanent Fairground from August 25-31.
The event, which is known as the world’s most important and biggest event in the art and industry of handmade carpets, will host a score of Iranian and foreign companies active in different parts of the industry.
Iran National Carpet Center, as the sponsor and organizer of this important event, will provide special facilities and options for foreign businessmen who are active in the handmade carpet sector.
Several business and trade delegations from various countries are expected to visit the exhibition and hold trade talks with Iranian producers and exporters of handwoven carpets.
The event attracts as many as 4,000 visitors each year. The previous edition of the exhibition hosted over 670 producers, export companies, and manufacturing units across the country.
Persian handmade carpet, besides its excellent position in art and culture, is considered a luxury commodity with a high value that has been adorned in many palaces, museums, and private houses around the world.
Hundreds of Iranian carpet weaving units are taking part in the event putting their latest products on display.
According to official figures, the carpet industry has a significant share in the country's non-oil exports. Iranian handmade carpets are well-known worldwide for their delicate designs and good quality. The event is aimed at promoting handmade carpets in the world and paving the way for further export of carpets in global markets.
The annual event attracts about 100,000 visitors including traders and researchers from Iran and the world. Latest statistics show that handwoven carpets worth some 500 million dollars were exported in the last fiscal year.

نقش هاى امروزى مدرن و كلاسيك حتى كهنه نما و قيمت هاي بمراتب پايين تر در بيست سال گذشته بازارهاى زيادى را كسب كرده اند!
با درود و سپاس از شما دوست نازنین بابت این ویدئو زیبا منو بردین به زمانی که ده یازده سال سن داشتم و مادر مرحومم منو به یک استاد چیره دست فرشباف سپرد و ایشان با ذوق و شوقی که در من وجود داشت به یک بافنده چیره دست و ماهر تبدیل کرد که فرش شد همه چیز زندگی من که تقریبا همه کودکی و جوانی من در حال فرش بافی طی شد! اما با تآسف باید عرض کنم آنچه که از قیمت و درآمد حاصل از زحمت بسیار زیاد و تحلیل رفتن چشم و دست و جوانی میماند همه در جیب واسطه و بازاری میرود! و شوربختانه بافنده یک صدم از سود رو هم نمیبره! و این اجهاف و ستم غیر قابل تحمل و درک منو از ادامه کاری که عاشقانه بهش بها میدادم باز داشت! یاد شعر معروفی افتادم که مضمونش اینه که کسی که فرش میبافه نباید سهمش حصیر! باشه! داد و صد داد از بی عدالتی و ظلم!!!😑😑😢😢😢🌺🙏

I live in here America for 50 years and I thing I have lots of Iranian thing .sweetie This is America anything you want is under your thumb .You don’t have to go to Iran to buy thing if it was 40 years ago I will tell you go Tehran was great everything was great .last I was there was 13 years ago .those mother fucker in Airport give me such hard time I thought I would not get out and I plages if I get out I never go back . You should just travel to Iran and walk famouse bazaars, tabriz, isfahan, Tehran, kerman, or shiraz, you can find any Kind of persian decorates handy crafts, crystal, potery and exc..

1) An explanation of the difference between hand and machine woven yarn: excellent. 2) how to spot good work from common and mediocre: good idea. 3) at 2:08 an example of beautiful modern Persian Tabriz carpet, the one with Black background much more beautiful than the two hanging up next to it: lovely. 4) at 3.49, what looks like a pure silk carpet with sky blue background, joyous, colourful, eye catching and highly decorative: pity more of it was not shown. Then follows a quick look at a series of very beautiful carpets which I must say I had never encountered in such numbers all under one roof. 5) at 9:45 from Nahavand, Bargi pattern, 100 years old, truly beautiful, perhaps the best of the previous lot from traditional village weavers. 6) 13:57-14:01 THE MASTERPIECE, creme a la creme, the ocean of colour, pattern, exquisite taste that only Iranian designers possess: I would have stayed on this carpet for a minute and explored every significant square centimeter of it. 7) 14:54 the presenter's choice of authentic Persian carpet from MALAYER. All that she says is true and correct, but the end result is not a patch on the carpet at 13:57: intricate, busy but very repetitive pattern and the medallion design was indistinct and somehow incomplete. 8) 17:10, the last displayed carpet, hanging from the wall with lovely colour combination and very elegant pattern skilfully and accurately put together: like it very much.
Who chose which carpets to concentrate on, the lady presenter? That was the weakness of this video, who got to decide which carpets to concentrate on and for how long.

this is not a planed video so we walked into the Exhibition and took some footage and she talk about carpets for me so in the next Exhibition I will make a great video in 60 frames per second - in this video only 24 frames per second was shown - and a better choice of course.

@@iPesi When you make your next video about carpets treat each carpet as a woman you could fall in love with. Look at it with a sharp eye for detail. Look at all of it, and train your camera to move slowly from one detail to another. As if you are taking everything you find lovable about the woman and want to memorise her features. A Carpet is like a painting, you don't just glance at it you watch it carefully, you look at it with delight or a critical eye. Remember a beautiful rug or carpet is as lovable as the most beautiful woman you have ever seen in your life.

واقعا عالی بود ،حیف که برنامه ریزی خاصی برای نه تنها اعتلای این هنر وصنعت ،بلکه برای نگهداری آن هم انجام نمی شود هم اکنون در شهر ملایر به جرات می توانم بگویم در بین نسل جوان این روستاها تعداد انگشت شماری ،فرشبافی بلد هستند.
سلام من در کار فرشم یعنی نوع بافت مال کدوم شهر و کدوم روستا بافته میشود را بلدم سال ۱۳۷۰ رفسنجانی و دارو دستای آن زمان که من و تقریبان۲ میلیون انسان از کنار فرش امرار ماش میکردند و بعد از نفت دومین دارامد کشور بود تمام نقشه و طرح و نوع بافت را به چینها تقدیم کردند . این ویدیو دیدم لعنت به خاعنانه هنرکشورم فرستادم. لتفا شما هم بفرستین.
Thank you for this wonderful video - educational. Love the carpets , reminds me of Alladin. I bought one from Dubai. I am not sure anymore which design and if machine or handmade. However, I wish to find a second one that is for sure an investment. The man speaking is so passionate about his carpets and speaks with knowledge but disappointment not having government support. The very weavers that made these magical pieces. Thanks to them.

Let me explain to you
Each rug is like a digital photo
As every photo is made of many pixels, carpet is made of many knots
About 20 thousand knots are needed for each square meter of a carpet
Each knot has its own color code and is done by hand
Silk carpets with smaller knots need about 50,000 knots per square meter
With an artist's salary account
Calculate how much it costs to design the plan, weaving time, raw materials, store, export
Then you realize that among these artists there are people who don't even get paid as much as a simple American worker
retailers and exporters get the main profit
Not raw material producers, not map designers and most importantly not weavers!
