- What an honor!! In this interview I get to talk with trumpeter Adolfo Acosta.
Adolfo played in the famed UNT One O'clock Band, toured with Maynard Ferguson, and has been a member of Tower of Power for over 20 years.
Such a nice guy and if you aren't familiar with his work I suggest you look up Tower of Power on what ever outlet you consume your music and listen to their latest album 50 Years of Funk & Soul: Live at the Fox Theater. Amazing!!

Great interview. I've seen the band almost 100 times. My first show in 1973 and I haven't stopped since. I'm a trumpet player and in high school, Chicago was everyone's musical muse being in the high school band. Then I heard ToP and that changed my universe. Continued success Adolfo and it's great to see Iron Mike back.
22 years I have waited to hear this man speak with his voice. It was worth the wait.
